I just waited an hour and a half on hold to purchase tickets for my mom and niece for a DVC stay we have booked in a April 2021. The rest of us have tickets already.

The CM told me that they are not able to add tickets to DVC stays at this time, only to resort packages.

Why are we getting penalized for being DVC members? I’m not asking for special treatment, but I think we should get the same treatment as a regular resort guest.

I know, I've been wondering if the answer is to book a package and cancel it later after getting new tickets.
We were planning big trips for my husband and I for our birthdays next year and I'm a bit nervous we will be blocked out of parks!

I was wondering the same thing. I could book a package for my mom and niece and then cancel once I’ve purchased separate tickets. Would that work?

I just got off the phone with DVC member services and the very nice CM told me we will be able to purchase tickets on 6/28. She seemed fairly confident so I will probably just wait and do that.

But I think this scenario is truly outrageous. I’m surprised there hasn’t been more of an uproar about it from the DVC community.

I agree that this was not the right move and SVC should have been included.

some CMs were told we would be. Not sure why it wasn’t done.

Yes.. that seems like it would work. I currently have more than one ticket to my name..does does my DD and her BF.. and when I booked my park reservations it didn’t have me choose a ticket.

So I do think DVC can book a cash package, pay the $200 deposit, book parks and then when they link other tickets when they go on sale cancel and be refunded.

But, it should not be needed.

Only one way to find out, book and cancel. See if tickets remain or are canceled as well. I'm betting tickets will also be canceled.

It's unfortunate that Disney isn't treating a DVC reservation the same.

So it's now showing that I have linked admission and inviting me to pick days, but when I go to reserve a park telling me that I don't have admission and need to either link it or remove myself from my travel party.

It gets more beautiful, It now created duplicates of half of my family in my "my disney experience" even though I booked it with my account open -so I clicked on our specific people to be guests.
There are now two of me, one each staying at different resorts, neither of which have valid park admission. :headache:

So now you can visit 2 parks at once. Got to love Disney IT!!!
