How is This Fair??

My friend cleaned her room (its the attic so it s HUGE room) and its now SPOTLESS. Seriously I have never seen a cleaner room. Now her Dad is yelling at her to clean the whole house. Now she has 4 siblings and none of them are helping.

But the thing that gets me is her dad's favoritism towards her brother. Hes outside playing basketball. Hes going out with friends later. The reason hes allowd to goof off is because "he had summer school all day and he needs a break." WHAT? My friends been cleaning her room like crazy and she dosn't deserve a break? But because this boy gofed off all school year and has to take summer school he gets a break? This same brother also stole money from her today. (he steals money from everyone, I don't even bring my purse over there anymore because so many $20s were stolen from me) But its ok that hes stealing money because "it's a boy thing and he'll grow out fo it."

Im sorry but this kid has a serious drug and alchohol problem. The police have been called to his house. Hes tried to run away, threatened to kill himself, and steals money. HOW is he still his Dad's favorite? Just because hes a boy he can get away with anything. If ANY of the girls pulled a stunt like he does they would be kicked out in a second. I hate favoritism.

wow that is really mean. this one girl in my school is like favorited for.. nothing! she is like a total S-L-U-T! like the teachers think she is like so funny. she doesnt even do anything, she copieds peoples homework everyday, it's so dissapointing. in elementary school she had like a 4.00 and now she has like a 2.76. well shes like that now bc boys came into her life, if u no what i mean 'wink wink'. i just dont get how she is favorited

Maybe the father gives him extra attention so he (the kid) doesn't do drugs or anything stupid.

What tha Dad doesn't get is that hsi son is only a freshmen. He shouldn't already be addicted to hard drugs!!

Why does the kid take drugs and do stupid things ?
Thats stupid I hate that, why do people, especially young people, think its cool to do bad things... its not stop being stupid....stupid people.
I feel bad for your friend for having to deal with that.




Im pretty sure my family doesn't play favorites.
But im the middle child and most comical so I like to twist things my parents say and make it seem like and attack on the middle child when its really not.

It makes me want to go up and yell at the parent for being so blind. It makes me so upset inside when one child is favorited over the other. Just, why is it so hard for some?

I know when Im a parent I won't play favorites. All the kids in this family virtually hate their Dad because he loves the son so much. But if he truely "loved" the son the Dad would want him to stop using drugs and drinking! The kids a freshmen and hangs out with college age kids and dropouts.

The best I can do is have my friend and her siblings over. I wish there was some way to make her Dad not so blind. My fear is that their brother is gonna OD or do something stupid that results in his death. Then it will be too late to help.

Thats true. Shes going to college next year, so she will be on her own making her own rules. Im happy for her, but I feel bad for her other siblings.

Thats true! Its weird, besides this one boy, the other 4 kids were not/are not at all interested in alchohol or drugs. I just wish her parents were realizing the severity of the situation and not just blowing it off as teenage rebelian.

2: i have 5 younger than me they fight all the time 24/7 and when my parents ignor there stupid fights they come to me and that just sounds just like what they do so get over it your not a sever year old now are you?
