How is the week after Thanksgiving?

We were going to go the first week of December next year but after reading the posts about Pop Warner week, we thought maybe the week after Thanksgiving might be less crowded. And I see that this year they had 2 MVMCP's that week, so that is a big plus for us! We would be leaving the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and staying 5 or 6 nights. Any comments would be appreciated!!!

OMG! We just came back from 11/30-12/6 vacation with no crowds, no waits whatsoever. Take in mind we went midweek, i have studied what to to what days, and were at the parks before opening (going to the popular things first). We went to MK on wed night/thursday, frid AK, sat MGM, sun EPCOT. The longest we waited for anything was epcot turtle talk (20 minute shows). I would highly recommend it. Now, it was quite chilly most of the time but beats waiting in line!!!

That's my FAVORITE time to go! I was there 11/29-12/3 this year. By the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the holiday crowds are leaving. I usually spend that day at Epcot.

We were there that week this year. We arrived the Saturday after Thanksgiving and left the next Sunday. We loved it. We only had to use fast pass twice the entire week, both in MK. By going to the parks at opening we were able to walk right on popular things two times in a row and could have done most 3 or 4 times in a row. Shows had plenty of room so we weren't crammed right next to other people. The only place we had an ADR and actually had to wait until after our ADR time to be seated was LTT and that was on a night when MK had evening EMH. It's a great week to go.

We also were just there...Sat after thanksgiving til the following friday. Longest, and only wait was 20 min for rock and roller coaster at lunchtime. Everything else, as long as it took you to get to the ride was the wait. DD and I had our own raft on Kali, our own log on Splash Mtn too. It was really unbelievable. Great time to go. Even that 1st sat...a lot of people lined up for spectro, but we went back to haunted mansion and pirates and got right on.

I don't mean to hijack your thread but we are trying to decide which week next year- the Saturday after Thanksgiving through the following Saturday or the week after Pop Warner. Anyone else care to give their two cents on these weeks?

We were there from 11/28-12/5 the Mon to Mon after Thanksgiving. The Pop Warner people didn't start arriving till the end of the week, around the 2nd or so. I didn't really notice it much. Just a bit on that Saturday night at MK. MGM on Sunday night was great. We got a fast pass for Aerosmith then I was able to ride it again on the Magic Hours with no wait what so ever.

The longest line we had at MK during the week was for the Indy speedway. That was 10 minutes.

We walked on to just about every other ride. There were a lot of people, but it never seemed crowded. Granted one day it rained in the morning so a lot of people must have stayed away from MK, but the afternoon was nice and sunny and those people never seemed to show up because there were almost no waits. It seemed as though a bunch of the Fast Pass machines weren't even opened. They weren't needed.

The busiest day we saw on The Friday at Epcot. The line for Turtle Talk was huge, The Land (Soarin') was crowded too, but as the day went on it seemed to get better. By the time we got back to Soarin for our fast pass time it wasn't as busy (late afternoon).

I would do that week again can't beat the prices. The 2nd week after Thanksgiving is a bit busier because of Pop Warner.

This is when we used to always be able to go too. We've always had wonderful trips! Great weather, no crowds and the holiday decorations are awesome.
