Hi all

So DF and I are considering getting married in September of 2008.. I am wondering if anyone got married during that month and how the weather was???? I am ok if its HOT being that I grew up in South Florida my whole life.. I am just worried about the rain being that I am going to have Cinderella's Coach and I would be so sad if its a rainy day:sad1: ..

Thanks all
:flower3:

Many people say that September is horrible for rain-- however, DH and I went in 2005 and didnt have a single rainy day-- we had a small sprinkle shower-- just enough for us to put our mickey poncho's on and take them off 20 minutes later. We stayed an entire week and had nothing but perfect weather. I can only speak on experience so I say, go for it!:thumbsup2

i went to a wedding in tampa & then drove over to disney in sept 2001 & boy was it humid

there was no rain, but it was super hot/humid

Thats one reason I think the crowds are so lite.

If you like the heat/humidity, you'll love Sept!!

Good luck on whatever you decide
:thumbsup2

I agree hot & humid. Also, when we were on our disneymoon (well were were on a cruise first) hurricane floyd hit and they closed WDW sept of 99. We couldn't believe the destruction when we returned to land!!

We, were also suppose to be there during another hurricane, can't remember what one, labor day weekend back in 03, maybe...charlie?? But were cancelled and went the end of the month and ended up just escaping hurricane jeanne.

I was in WDW in September of 2005 and plan on going back this September. I didn't find it to be super hot or humid. One day I had on jeans. Not that it was cold but it wasn't super hot either. We had a rain shower one day but it lasted maybe a half hour and then it was done. It is part of hurricane season so maybe that's where the rain/humidity spirts come from. We always go the week after labor day and there are NO LINES. The longest line I was in was for Peter Pan and it was a 10 minute wait. My mom lives in Florida (west coast) and I tell ya it rains every day at 4:00 and lasts maybe 20 minutes- all year round. I love going in September but I think the weather can really be hit or miss. I had good weather when I was there but as previous posters mentioned, they didn't have that good of luck.

Best of Luck in whatever you decide

We were there Sept 2005 as well.

We had rain one day for about an hour, and another day for the better part of the afternoon.

It is my understanding that it's more or less "expected" to rain every afternoon around 4pm in the summer.

As for hurricanes...yes, September is the peak season. There is just no way to predict what will happen. The good news is that Orlando is far enough inland that it rarely sees a "direct hit" at a high categorical strength.

It is hot and quite humid...but definitely a great time to visit because the crowds (especially in the second half of the month) are really low.

I have been the past 3 years in september (and just decided to go again this september - yea!) sorry :p anyways, the weather is hot and humid like everyone else is saying. there is always the impending doom of the rainshower. we got hurricane isabelle 3 years ago and then some big ol tropical storm 2 years ago. september is unpredictable when it comes to rain. the crowds are definitely picking up though. (probably due to the free dining promotion that they were offering...) I don't know if I would chance september especially if I was getting cinderella's coach. princess: + :umbrella: = :worried:

Thanks all for your input

I think I am just going to stick for November.. being that the fall is my favorite season....

DisneyFairy19, I will definitely be able to tell you in about 5 1/2 months. We are getting married August 29th!! and staying through until after Labor Day. I, like you, love the fall!! I am a little bit worried that we should have waited for a cooler time, but then I would have had to take dd out of school and I thought that would be a bad idea for this next year. I hope it is bearable...but it is WDW, so I can handle anything:-) Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, you two are a cute couple!!!
