We have been many times but usually in March or April or the winter. This year the kids are out of school June 10th which is early for the NE.For those who have been this time before, how are the crowds and(dreaded question:) the weather.I'm mainly interested in a crowd report. TIA:wave:

Just my opinion, but we had alot of rain when we went in June, two years ago and my dd was miserable when it rained. She wasn't used to walking around with squishy shoes. I love April though!

Going back this April can't wait :earsgirl:

Last June was great. we were there 6/9-6/16. THe later you go, the more crowded it gets. We were able to do everything we wanted to, though. Definately prepare for rain. ponchos, quick-dry clothes, sandals etc.

We were there third week of June, 2003.

It was hot and fairly crowded, but we got to the parks at opening time and the lines were not long at all.

It rained quite a bit. Spectromagic was canceled due to rain on the day we were at the MK. One day was GRAY and drizzly all day long. We went to Typhoon Lagoon and it was EMPTY. No waits for anything. We did slides and snorkeling over and over and over. ANd didn't need sunscreen. We definitely saw that glass as "half-full."

This will be our third June trip in four years. We have middle-school-aged children (one almost high-school-aged :earseek: ) so we have to go during crowded times out of necessity.

It will be hot and crowded, and it will probably rain every day, but hopefully just for a very short time each afternoon, then it will clear up. Last year, we were unfortunate enough to have 3 or 4 days of constant, steady rain. The upside was, it wasn't nearly as hot as usual!

There are several things we do that help us deal with the heat and crowds better. We take advantage of EE quite often, and even on non-EE days, we arrive at park opening. We use Fastpass as much as possible and hit the big rides early. We leave the parks after lunch and take an afternoon break at the resort where we swim and relax. Then we head back to the parks early evening until closing. A good thing about going in the summer is the park hours are long.

HOT!!!:sunny:

Very HOT!!!!:sunny: :sunny:

It's do-able though. Just plan for mid-day breaks, and carry water with you. Use fastpasses when possible, cuz it will be crowded. Go on rides when it rains, cuz 90% of them are open but the parks clear out so lines aren't so bad (bring ponchos!)

But you'll have a great time!

We were there the second wek of June last year. Regarding the weather, we found it to be . In fact, hotter than we expected even though we are from NC where summers are hot and humid. The key for us was to take breaks in the middle of the day, mostly to swim. We stayed at AS Music. It usually meant a 3-4 hour respite from the parks in the middle of the day, but it was really essential. The crowds were not too outrageous, but should have been smaller considering that MK closed at 7pm for a couple of nights -errr, afternoons -we were there. In fact, my only complaint was that the heat could have been a bit easier to handle in the MK hours were a teensy bit longer.

We went once and by 11 am the mk was so crowded. Almost lost the ds in the crush. We also had a reservation for chef mickey dinner for fathers day. Couldnt believe some people actually tried to walk up and get in then. Nice cm said, sorry we have been sold out for the last 2 months, so if you want to eat anywhere special and dont want to be disappointed, make your ps as soon as possible.
