We are going to DL for our first time with our 2 boys next week and is wondering how bad the line ups will be?

I am seeing from some of the other posting that it can be up to 60 mins.

Thanks for your feedback

Summertime line lengths usually max out at 60-75 minutes for the more popular rides during the middle of the day. The lines are shorter early in the morning and later at night. Also you can use FASTPASS for some of the more popular rides and avoid the long lines. We rarely wait in lines of more than 20 minutes because we arrive early at the gates and use FASTPASS. :goodvibes

It depends on which rides and which days?

You can easily find lines of an hour or more for certain rides in the mid-day on busy days. Depending on the ride and the day, the best strategy is either to ride it early in the morning or later in the evening.

If you posted the days you were visiting and the rides you wanted to see, people could probably give more specific advice.

what would you expect the line time be when we are there in Sept. 16-23???

Very short. The maximum line will probably be around 30 min probably during the week. Weekend lines will be slightly longer. However, this year in September there will be like 5 rides closed for refurbishment.

We were there in during a very busy part of the summer and still never waited longer than 15 min for a ride with Toy Story being the exception. Non FP rides we go on first thing in the morning. Collecting FPs all day, we can go on the big rides in 15 min. while other people are waiting an hour. We never had any reason to stand in a "stand by" line when FP is available.

Thanks for all your feedback.

We don't know if we can get up early on our second day after going from morning to late evening on the first day. With the kids first time, they will want to stay until closing.

If you stay close enough, take a break mid day to relax or swim. Then staying until closing is much easier.

Not sure how old your kids are and what days you are going but you could consider just hitting CA adventure the 2nd day and being there 30-45 minutes before the 10:00 opening. We usually go into DL for a couple hours before hopping over but if you don't want to get up early, this is a good back-up plan.

Personally, I would forgo my shower and coffee to be at the parks at opening because you can ride SOOOO much in those first couple of hours (but I'm also going with very young kids who don't have the patience to stand in line and want to ride all the rides that don't have a FP). We usually end up having a super long day the first day because we want to get so much in and then the 2nd day we still go early but we take an afternoon break to catch some rest!

Have fun!
