How is the last weekend of August ?

Have been toying with going down for a short 4 days Aug 23-27th. How are the crowds ? It falls this year the weekend prior to labor day weekend. Hoping for some input ! I have been down in Oct, Sept, Dec and Jan. months so I know I have been spoiled with the low crowds ! Thank you !

The closer you get to schools starting, the better it gets. I would have loved to go that week, but we're already starting on the 25th. We're going 8/17-22. The older the kids get the harder "off season" options become!

We were down for the first time during the summer last year (Aug. 5-10) and even then it wasn't as bad as we'd imagined it would be. Especially since you've been before, you understand that you can only see so much and just take things in stride.

I say go for it!

We went that week last year and are returning again this year. The crowds were wonderful! The weather wasnt too hot like I was worried about(although I do like it hot), but it was a little more rainy than I expected. We got much more than the typical afternoon showers. It did prevent us from doing a couple things we were looking forward to, but it wasnt bad enough to not try that week again.

We were at Disney August 18th - 31st last year and it was great for crowds except for the very last couple of days (labour day weekend)

It went from comfortable/busy to totally insane overnight... you should be fine for the dates you are thinking of.

We are going again this year in August because we enjoyed it so much.

We have been to WDW several times (usually over holidays) but our last visit we went the last week of August. It was our best trip ever. Few rides had waits more than 30 minutes, no problem getting PS's or walking into restaurants. Our next trip (2004) we will visit the parks in August before our cruise.

DH just brought up the idea of going to WDW this August.We usually go the end of September.It is very slow then.Now we're looking at Aug. 12 - 18.Being we're spoiled with such low attendance will we be overwhelmed with August.The heat factor is about the same.
