How is the garden grill lunch at epcot?

Don't know about the Garden Grill, but the Trails End Buffet at Fort Wilderness is not a character meal. But it is a good value from what I've read here...

We ate at the Garden Grill last week and LOVED it!! Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale were there. The food is quite good.....flank steak with mushrooms, catafish, veggies, cheesey potatoes, turkey and chicken fingers with mac and cheese for the kids. The restaurant revolves on a platform....very cool.
This was our 2nd time eating there, and i'm sure we will eat there again on our next trip.

EVERY trip we eat lunch at the Garden Grill. A meal that will fill you up at a decent price. Plus toss in the characters and it is fun for the whole family.

Enjoy

We did this two years ago for a late lunch and it was great! We were seated in a booth on the revolving floor and we couldn't even see any other diners; it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The characters were very attentive and came around at least three times each. By far, our best character meal of the trip.

As far as the difference between dinner and lunch, with dinner you get salad and pay $7 more per adult. Must be a really good salad...

I thought the Garden Grill went to a plated meal last summer. It seems like I remember that happening prior to my July trip last year. People seemed to not like it, so maybe they switched it back. Maybe I'll consider this for my trip.

We were a Garden Grill for lunch a couple of weeks ago. It was served "family style" and we really enjoyed it. We've done about every character meal and this one had excellent character interaction. Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale all came by about 3 times. It was the first character meal for my sister and her family (kids are 1 and almost 3). They were in heaven. My DD 11 and I truly enjoyed watching the little kids (and my sister's) expressions when the characters came around.

The dessert, BTW, is excellent. Especially a chocolate pecan tart thing. They serve a few different desserts on the plate and you can request more of your favorite. The children got a vanilla cupcake with frosting, etc. to decorate.

Really enjoyable -- and, I got the ADR the night before.

We did Chip & Dale's Harvest Feast Dinner on/about Dec 28th last year and we had a blast! The food was good and it is possible to request more of anything on the plates. The salad - for $7 more each person - just isn't worth the added expense in my opinion. Basically, we paid an additional $35 for a bowl of salad ($5 people) plus the additional gratuity for that cost. It was a Cesar salad and I didn't even eat any. But - the rest of the food is excellent and the characters were wayyyy cool! It's definitely worth trying once and I'd recommend a lunch meal to save some $$. Same food - just no salad.
