I LOVE Mary Poppins and would be interested in this breakfast.

For those of you who have done this before...how is it?

It and CP tie for my first in my book. I've never had a bad experience food wise there. The strawberry soup is amazing.

It is amazing - the best breakfast there is on the property IMHO, and I have done so many! The choice and quality of the food is excellent and the character interaction good too. I woudnt miss it when we go to WDW. Much better than CP and Chef Mickeys

It is a breakfast it's usually known as 1900 Park Fare at the GF.

Just found it! You beat me to it!

Okay, so we have 1900 Park Fare reserved for dinner with Cinderella and friends. Which would you prefer? I mean, I guess we could always do both (but on separate days) but it would be nice to have a change of scenery so I don't know if I'd necessarily want to dine at the same restaurant 2 times.

We did breakfast here last week. It was great. It was a surprise for my oldest son's birthday breakfast-we also celebrated my 2nd oldest son's birthday too. Both their birthdays are 5 days apart, and I noted this was their celebration breakfast. My oldest loved Mary Poppins when he was little.

His face was red when he walked in and saw her. It was priceless.

Mary stays in the foyer (entrance hall) while you dine. You can meet her on the way in.

The food was very good. We ate our fill for sure.

We also SAW Mad Hatter, Tigger, Pooh and Alice. All came over except Alice, we couldn't find her after awhile. Mad Hatter was a hoot, he offered to "fix" my broken camera flash for me. And of course, wished me and youngest son a Very Merry Unbirthday.

The waitstaff brought over 2 crowns and cupcakes too while there for the birthday "boys" and asked everyone to sing to them.

It was so much fun!

It's my fave breakfast in all of WDW - character or not. The food, service, and characters are excellent. And I'm a huge Mary Poppins fan!

My DGD loved 1900 PF. The food was very good, service excellent and the characters were so much fun! She liked Alice and the Mad Hatter, and felt as though she was in the middle of their fun. Tigger and Pooh were there also, and they seemed less hurried than at CP.

In my opinion I prefer the breakfast but I love breakfast more than I do dinner food. I would try both on different days cause each has a different set of characters.

I did 1900 Park Fare back in December and really liked it. The food was great, the atmosphere was charming, and the characters were awesome. Mary Poppins was in the lobby in her red nanny dress and Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Rabbit were greeting in the dining room. It was a great assortment of personalities IMO.

I think I'll schedule the breakfast...but for a different day then we're doing the 1900 PF dinner. Geez, for being a couple that doesn't have kids, we sure are doing a lot of character meals (3)! Hopefully my boyfriend won't think I'm toooo nuts!

We enjoyed our breakfast there. Mary and Burt were in the lobby when we were there. They were both very good with my DDs, talking to them and asking them a lot of questions. They asked them about which parks they had been to; asked them if they had ridden Space Mountain. Mary laughed and told my girls to ask Burt if he'd ridden SM; he told them he had and almost "tossed his cookies". :rotfl: Inside the rest. we saw Pooh, Tigger, and Cruella DeVille..a strange mixture :teeth: The resturant is very pretty, quite large, and the food was just as good as Crystal Palace.

DestantionDisney don't worry about it. I do character meals every year and I'm twenty almost. You can always be a kid at heart just do an earlier reservation closer to when they open.

Oh they had Burt too!! I just love Mary Poppins and I'm so glad that they haven't taken her out of the park and replaced her with a newer, more "current" character. I'll have to call on this as soon as I get off work!!

We're both 25 and definitely still kids at heart. Hopefully we'll be able to get an earlier reservation so we can get to the parks as soon as we're done too!!

that breakfast is the best and with the best character interaction! we always "save" this meal for the morning we leave so we leave with the great memory of our last breakfast! enjoy! :thumbsup2

We ate breakfast there on our last day, 9-19-06, for my DD 7th birthday. This was her actual birthday though we celebrated it for several days while there. :thumbsup2

This was our first time at breakfast. We've done dinner several times and did both this trip. Both were great. The character interaction at breakfast was wonderful. We had late ADR and we were almost the last group to leave (there was only one other group left in the room) The main characters stayed there the whole time and my DD spent alot of time with them in the lobby.

I thought our ADR was for 10:40 and since it was our last day we had to do our airport check-in at POP before leaving and we were running a little late. We arrived about 10:45 (my DM and DD went in first while I parked). Mary Poppins wasn't in the lobby when we arrived (I think she was on break) and I think there were only about 5-8 other groups dining. I did happen to look at our little ticket they give you and our ADR was for 10:20-Ooops, we were so late and they didn't say anything! :goodvibes

I had told them when I made ADR that it was my DD 7th birthday and she was given a laminated placemat signed by all the characters to keep.

The first character who came by was Mad Hatter and he was very funny! He was quite a character. When he saw it was my DD birthday he said it wasn't anything special, it wasn't like it was her "unbirthday"! When he posed for the first picture he held her birthday balloon (she was given it by a CM at POP) over her face. Then he moved it away for the next picture-she was cracking up the whole time.

Pooh and Tigger came by several times and she enjoyed interacting with them even though she's "not into Pooh". Mad Hatter and Alice were wonderful. Since there weren't many people there they had alot of time to play act off each other.

While we were eating, Mary Poppins returned to the lobby and we went to see her. She spent alot of time talking to my DD. :cloud9:

Our waitress brought my DD a "Happy Birthday" crown and a birthday cupcake (which we took with us for later-we were very full). The food was very good. :goodvibes And even though we were almost the last group to leave, they kept replenishing the food. As we left, all the characters were in the lobby and we took more pictures. My DD spent alot of time talking, and kidding around with, Mary, Alice, and the Mad Hatter. It was a wonderful end to our magical trip.

We ate there this past week for the first time and loved the breakfast. The food was hot and fresh and the whole atmosphere was so much more relaxed than many of the other character meals. I asked Mary where her magic bag was and with out missing a beat she informed me that she does not normally bring it to breakfast but leaves it in the toy shop in the UK portion of EPCOT! (I checked later and it is there in the back with a lamp coming out of it). I thought that was great! We also had supper there one night but was not as impressed with the food. Cinderella was very good but Prince Charming really did not have much personality.

We did this breakfast on our last trip in August. I booked the last sitting so we could hit the parks early then the kids would be hungry enough to actually eat. There was only about 1/2 the restaurant full and the character interaction was probably the best I have ever seen at any of the character meals since it was slower. We got pics with Tigger, Alice and Mad Hatter all together. Mary was in the lobby with nobody around her so she took extra time. I watched her sit with a little girl on the bench out there and chat away - what great pics they must have gotten. The food was still fresh and still being put out and hot. We had a chance to do more than half the MK before breakfast since we walked right on everything. The only downer was that the waitress seemed to be in a hurry to get out of there and was rushing us a little. When we left there was only about 4 other parties in the whole place. It was more of a brunch and filled us up until dinner time. The food here is just awesome. It is a must do for us since we love it.
