How is January

Ok - I have changed my vacation dates from Thanksgiving week 2014 to January 2014 (4th-7th) due to Harry Potter and fear of the crazy crowds!! So now that i have researched everything there is about Thanksgiving in the parks, I am now starting over with January in the parks. Could someone please tell me how the crowds will be. Are all the Christmas decorations down by the 5th? This will be our first trip to US/IOA and I am so excited I will get to go in just a few months - now I need to change my ticker!!!

Christmas decorations usually come down right after New Years Day but I think they are up a little longer this year. Crowds shouldn't be too bad since you'll miss the holiday madness but prepare for moderate crowds. I would guess wait times of 30-45 minutes wouldn't be unreasonable.

I went the tail end of January this year and it wasn't very crowded at all. Maybe a tiny bit busier the beginning of the month if any people stay on after New Year's.

Not what you want to hear..But expect large crowds.Many schools are off till Jan 6th.Crowds won't die down till then.

Just realized that my kids don't go back to school until the 7th. Maybe we could stay one more day
