Ok, ok, I know lots of people here love Mythos - but what about Confisco Grille? Is this a counter service place or a sit-down restaurant? How is the food? Any recommendations?

The menu seems rather limited, but it looks like a nice place to go for beer and nachos.

Thanks!

We had lunch there last Tuesday. It is a sit-down rest, we like it. I had a taco salad or mexican wrap, DH had a burger, the kids both had the kids chicken fingers with fries. That with a couple of ice cold bud drafts made for a nice lunch.

Thanks, Patty!

Do you remember what the beer selection was like? I am hoping they have something like Sam Adams or Bass (or Corona). Nothing like a burger and salty fries and a Bass! :)

I think we'll head there soon!

Sorry, didnt check out the beer selection, but they have a full bar right outside, you could probably get whatever you want there if they dont have it inside.

The Backwater Bar services Confisco's so what they have there will be available in the resturant.

The manager use to be the manager at MYTHOS. Jorge is a great guy and he has worked hard to bring the level up. Skip is his assistant and he was at MYTHOS for a while as well.

Even MIB9's and MsDis will have to try Confisco's again some day here in the near future. :smooth:

I like Confisco's. Good food and service; resonable prices. The menu used to be much larger, hopefully they'll expand as time goes on. They also have a drink (at the adjoining backwater bar) called a Confisco's creation or concoction. It's like a strawberry daquiri with coconut flavouring. Yummmmy

After the post 9/11 turndown in tourist traffic, Confisco abbreviated its menu and isn't as good as it used to be (IMHO).

Still, the atmosphere is fun and what's left of the menu is done well enough. But I'd save a visit here for when you've tried everything on the Mythos menu. ;)

I don't know about Mythos. I will really need my arm twisted to eat there. I popped in to check it out about a month and a half ago and it didn't look very impressive. I also read a negative (recent) review about it on the Disney restaurant board.

When is the next Mythos lunch get together? Seems like it would be a great reason to eat there... :)

Thanks for all the Confiscos information! :) I did think the menu looked rather limited, but I'm a sucker for nachos!

I guess I abandoned Confisco's after they stopped the character lunch, which used to be the highlight of our vacation! Nothing like ogling Spidey over Confisco's fries!

I do like their chicken sandwich, their roast chicken wings (taste just like my Mom's!) and their famous fries. MYTHO's is my new fave. There is always a negative review on every restaurant, everyone does not like the same things. I've NEVER been disappointed in MYTHOs yet!

As some of you know i am a MYTHOS fan;)  :smooth:
MsDis and I ate at France in Epcot 2 or 3 months ago and i would have made a negative post based on my experience there. we ate in the lower part and i would not go back to France. I would always choose Canada over France. :smooth:

For a wide beer selection, head to the Alchemy Bar in the Enchanted Oak Tavern (Lost Continent).

The last time I counted there were 20 brands of domestic microbrews and imported premium beers on hand.

I agree with Kelly: the new, smaller menu is definitely a step down from the old one. The food is simpler--and quite ordinary. They have taken our favorite things off the menu (the pizza and the pasta). We used to make a point of having lunch there. We are not going to go back anymore.

Well, it's true you won't find mouse droppings used as garnish at Mythos....
