Ok, so i was not real happy with southwest prices so i thought what the heck. I will check AA, I doubted it would be any lower. But, to my surprise it was $703 TOTAL for all six of us flying out june 1 in the evening and flying home on june 12 at 4pm.

The flight has restrictions but i am ok with that. We won't be cancelling or changing dates barring any natural disasters!

So, i have it on hold right now. Should I book it?? The only time i have ever flown was five years ago on united and it was not a plesent experience.

How is American Airlines??

thanks!
Amanda

That's just $117 pp if that's a round trip price so that's a great deal for AA, I'd jump on it. I've flown AA a couple of times in the past with no problems. I'm lucky to be able to get that price with SW these days from MHT-MCO, last trip cost $135 with SW.

I know it's not as high as some other places going through SW but right now its about $200 per person! That's way too much for us to spend in just the airfare.

Ive used AA out of DTW many times and Ive always been very satisfied. What cities are you connecting through (MIA, DFW or ORD)?

They are non-stops from ORD to MCO!!

I just checked the same flights and they are up to $1291 total! Yikes!

I booked the deal i had reserved! I feel so much better now!

:dance3:

You got a great deal. Congrats! Hard to find cheap deals from the midwest.

herc.

AA is my preferred airline. I've yet to be unhappy with a flight through AA.

Congrats! I just tried AA from Baltimore for 3 of us - it was $508 per person!
I guess I will keep looking.:sad1:

In any given week here you'll see threads along the lines of 'I'll never fly XYZ again!'. Usually it is due to some mishap which is not uncommon during air travel.

Every airline has its detractors and fans; so long as they get you there in reasonable time, for a reasonable price, in safety, that is all that matters. (Unless of course you have other motivators, like airline miles and extra space)

Thanks!!!

I was checking airlines during the day and they were all high on there prices. So, thursday evening are 11pm i checked AA. That's when the fair was so low. The next day around noon the fairs had gone up to 141.00 and then around 4pm they had gone up again to 184.00!! So, maybe try in the evenings during the middle of the week?

hth!

Personally, I have not flown AA since 1994, even though I fly 100,000 miles a year, on average. But I am sure that they are a very nice airline.... ;)

And, for the record... you got an excellent deal, OP! Once you're through security at ORD, hit up the Dunkin Donuts counter in the food court between concourses H and K and grab a pound of original blend to bring to WDW. You'll thank me later....

:goodvibes

American airlines is the largest airline in the world. While I have not always had the best experience with them (lots of canceled flights), I would not hesitate to fly AA if I got a good deal.
