How intense is Everest?

I don't have issues on any coaster typically. Everest is for the most part a very mild coaster IMO. That being said, I do not do well with the backwards part. I just don't like it. I am not a fan of any coaster that goes backwards. I'll do Everest once, and that is enough for me. I find the back is much easier to handle the backwards portion and I have to close my eyes (even though its dark) to handle it, but otherwise this coaster is really not overly thrilling.

Big Thunder Mountain is my favorite coaster. I love it - and ride it multiple times. I got my nerve up to ride Everest with my DS. I was most worried about triggering my vertigo. I did watch some ride videos to get a sense of the ride, so I knew where the big drops were - and the backwards part. I also took 2 dramamine in order to help prevent motion sickness - especially the backwards in the dark part was a bit worrisome with vertigo. Well wouldn't you know we get the next to the last seat at the back of the train. It was a wild ride. I tried to keep my head back as much as possible - sorta hard with the bumps. And I did scream going down the hills - to try to prevent panicking. DS made the mistake of looking down when we were at the first hill - he's not a big fan of height. Told him to keep his eyes heading front, not down. My now adult DS and I still laugh over that bonding moment. I survived - and we did have fun. One ride in one day was enough for me. I treated my self to a nice adult beverage afterwards lol. I say if you can go on Mummy, you probably won't have an issue with Everest.

So after I showed my big baby of a 14 year old that when the first car is at the bottom of the hill the last car is at the top of the hill he went on it and loved it.
The " big" hill is not as big as you think it's that Disney force perceptive
