I would have wanted to smack them
But I have been in a situation with those kind of people. A couple years back, I had a really bad accident, and I was in a wheelchair for around 3-4 months because of it. Everyone thought I was paralized (my HS, which I started around the same time, thought it was a "miracle" when I walked in half way through the year)
Anyway, I was in
Walmart one day w/ my mom and cousin (who is a Special Ed. teacher) and some lady said I was "in the middle of the aisle" (two steps to the right, and she could have gotten around me) and said "I'd beat the cr*p out of you, you invalid waste of skin, if it wasn't for the fact that you have to many laws protecting you"
Note here, that I also have a depression disorder, and did then also. But I also have a "skill" to make people feel stupid while being totally "respectable". So while my cousin was holding my mom back, I looked up at the other lady and said "Oh, I didn't realize you were in so much of a rush to move a couple steps over, why don't I just wheel around the whole aisle to let you by" and giving my most sincere smile I could while trying not to get to upset, I wheeled around the whole aisle, and came back to see the lady beet red out of embarassment. Apparently, some older man (around 60) gave her a comment saying "that little girl is more mature than you are, lady, I can't believe you made her wheel all the way around."
I came back, and stopped about 1 foot short to where I was, and gave her another smile and said "have a nice day!"
She turned redder, and just walked away. The man told me to never lose that maturity, and tried to buy me a candybar. I wouldn't let him, and told him to give it to another little kid (who was also in a wheelchair, and really wanted it)
SO yea, it's very easy to make those people realize how immature and ignorant they are....I still laugh at that situation now.
A little off topic, sorry. Thought it would show that some of those people do get their payback!
