How insensitive

I remember reading that about two weeks ago and almost driven to the point of tears. That woman deserves to go to the hottest layer of heck there is for that kind of comment. :(

Maybe her next child will have some sort of deformity that couldn't be detected by an amnio or any other test (it does happen). I wonder how she would feel then? I'm sure that she would love and protect that child just like the other woman did, and hopefully know the pain that she caused someone else! :furious:

Is this what the human race is coming too? How dare she say something so incredibly terrible. That family did not deserve to hear such horrible expression of useless words. :sad2:

A couple of years ago in the airport I saw 2 little boys - obviously brothers (approx) ages 4 and 6 walking with their suitcases on wheels. The older boy (6 year old) had downs. I will never forget the compassion of his little brother. While walking through the airport the 6 year old's suitcase got flipped over and he kept trying to pull it (as if the wheels were still on the ground). The older boy was getting very frustrated at the suitcase not rolling properly. His little brother very patiently helped him turn it right side up saying, "It's okay, I'll help you." Afterwards the older brother gave him a hug and kept saying "thanks" all the way down the terminal. I must have heard 20 thanks come from that big brother to his little brother. It was so touching. I bet the parents were so pround of both their boys.

I have to ask God for forgiveness when I see or hear people being so cruel to others less fortunate. I swear the thoughts I have towards those individuals are not those of a Christian woman!

Me too, Traci, me too. Cruel people make my blood boil!

I just can't imagine a human being that would be so cold and cruel. :furious:

Dizz, that is terrible. I had a women call me and my wife "breeders" and told my wife she should keep her legs closed. My 4 childern were present and we were mortified. I think she was of the other persuation.

Had the CM known the sleeping child was being raised by completely compassionless morons, he may have allowed the stroller on. It's no wonder some kids have no manners, they are unfortunate enough to be raised by insensitive idiots.

Just Speechless. Would not have been then and would have had to showed serious restraint in front of children if witnessing that. :furious:

That is horrible! What has the world come to? You would think that she would at least learn the manners of a 10 year old! Grow up!

Those words would be horrible enough if they were aimed at an adult, but to aim them at a child? How awful. I wish to God I could say that this shocks me, but unfortunately it doesn't. The world has some terrible people in it and the worse, are those that are mean to children.

I really, really believe in what goes around, comes around and sooner or later she will get hers. I don't wish ill on anyone mind you, just on adults who do harm to children. Not a reason in the world for this cruelty!!!

What a beautiful story! :goodvibes And OT, but the baby is just adorable!

How utterly heartless. Reading that made me sad and sick.

Statements like that have a way of coming back to the person that was insensitive enough to utter them.

Having been blessed with two healthy children, my heart goes out to those who love and nurture little ones that need special care.

What is this world coming to? Parents...please teach your children better than this.

I got this from another site where CM's relate their stories.

My jaw is still on the floor.

As a parent of a child that is severely physically disabled, don't be surprised about that comment. We have had our fair share of looks, comments and just plain ignorant things said to us and insensitive things done to Noah, my son. BUT for every 1 dimwit like that woman, there are 10 other people that are wonderful and are absolutely kind as can be and most of them must be working at WDW. The CM there are so wonderful and I literally tear up when thinking about how they treated my family last May. It was as if they were HONORED that we were there. I really can't find the words to describe our trip but I smile every time I think about it (and we booked another trip in May.)

I'd have probably said something to the effect of, I'm sure she'd gladly get up and walk in and have you bound to a stroller and have to use the elevator. But I doubt you'd gladly trade the other way. Just something to think about.

What do the CM's say to bad customers when they really mean go piss up a rope? Is it Have a Disney Day or something like that?

We had an experience at Epcot I will never forget. It isn't as bad as that woman's comments but man did it hurt.
We were in the special viewing area behind the fish and chips place in the UK pavilion. Our DS5, 4 at the time, was running back and forth waiting for Illuminations to start not being crazy or anything just running between myself and DH. This kid, I say kid but he was about 24, comes up trying to flirt with the CM and makes some snarky comment about my DS being a walking billboard for birth control. DH heard him and turned around and said yeah he is and I'm glad every day that I didn't use any, that's my kid and he's one of the greatest kids in the world. Of course the kid didn't have a very good come back besides, "I'm 24 and don't want any" To which DH replied good we don't need anymore people like you. The kid slinked away after that. I came up about the time DH made his we don't need anymore comment. I wish I had heard the whole thing, I'd a made that boy cry for his mama! I'd have ripped him a new one!!!!

Some people can just be so..... argh!!!
