We really want to attend MVMCP this year. In fact, I already have tickets for 12/19 & an ASMu ressie for $59/nite. Well some things have come up & financially a trip to the parks just isn't practical right now. DH is actually considering driving down, checking into our room by mid afternoon & resting before the party, then sleeping a few hours, getting up & driving straight home. Now, the drive is 985 miles. We've driven straight through before but we've stayed longer. Our boys are 7 & 8.5. The older one really seems grown up lately & we are afraid that in another year he is going to think that MVMCP is too "baby"
P.S. DH has been known to take a strong, harsh position & then ease up on his own. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he decided we could stay an extra day or two once we get there.

Sounds a little extreme for that far, but I think you might be right about your DH's giving in once you are there.

What's sad, is I would probably do it!:p

If it were our kids, I know they would be VERY cranky by the end of a short trip like that. I don't think I would do it.

That's a LONG way to go for such a short time at WDW. I wouldn't do it!

Even without kids, that is not something I would do unless I knew I could stay for a few more days. Try not to worry about your oldest... my brother, sister & I never got "too old" for WDW :teeth:

This sounds like something my dh would do. I don't enjoy trips like this but if you are alright with it and your kids can tolerate such a trip then why not?

It would be too painful for me to leave so soon after having been there such a short time. If you can't stay longer, save your money
and wear & tear on your car and go another time.
