How I got out of a mixed marriage

Thanks every one!
I decided to begin the next "story" on a new thread... hopefully I'll see you there!

[thread=1168070]The Saga Continues[/thread]

BRAVO!

oh no - off to read another one.....

Great trip report! It brought back memories of our first trip to WDW with Mr.B. We were only at MK for one day too (MGM for another day). I don't remember everything we did, but I know we had a blast and it started our own battle for our wallets (shout out to Zzub :moped: ) that continues to this day.

Thanks for sharing your memories with us! I laughed, I cried, I was moved. :thumbsup2 Awesome job!!

Now on to the next one........ popcorn::

Awesome report! I've never read a day trip report that was as long as a week trip report! I loved it! Can't wait to start the new one! :cool1:

subscribing.....i am way back there reliving the Golden Horseshoe Revue with you & don't want to loose this thread.

You hadn't lost me... just needed to take care of some "issues" here on the homefront! Got my own napless kiddo running around... Thanks for the great TR and I am soooo happy that I finished this just as the sequal was coming out!! :cool1:

Notice how I have negotiated for a) a return trip b) a meal with Cinderella c) a souvenir budget for the return trip and d) a baby girl!

Up next: In the jungle, the quiet jungle….

AWESOME trip report. I'm just catching up and am totally hooked. Subscribed, thumbtacked, link emailed to my wife, and notes being taken on how to write one of the best trip reports EVER. I can relate to so much of what you're saying (we're the same age, I can remember the "broke" days, too....many other similarities), it just makes the trip report even better!

Oh, and as an aside: You negotiated a baby girl.....my wife and I came home with one from our January trip. Our little (unexpected) Disney Souvenir. She'll be "arriving" in late September. :)

Awesome Trip Report!!! :goodvibes

But your avatar makes me want a twinkie reeeeeaaaalllll bad!

Lanie- thanks for your post.. as for the twinkies... me too! maybe I can work out an endorsement deal....

pilferk- wow! thanks for the compliment :) Congrats on the little pilferk-to-be. That is an amazing way to save money on your souvenir budget... or is it????

welcome Elisa, Disneygrl36, MommyP. MrBsMom and all the others...
I have really enjoyed reliving the magic with you

Hi, Twinkie! Just catching up after being off the boards for a few days...a thoroughly satisfying trip report--Thank You!! Two :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Kathy

Just an aside.....I made tiramisu with Twinkies when I couldn't find lady fingers & man was it good. Can't wait to read the continuation on the new thread.

Yikes :scared1: , I bet all you had to do was get a double espresso from Starbucks and dip the Twinkie in it. Tiramisu for nerds and TwinkieMamas.

Loved your report. One of my best memories was of my little boys playing in the fountains at Epcot. We learned to carry dry diapers and clothes. Alas, now they are too old for such. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Twinkiemama, I loved your report! Though the title threw me a bit. I thought it was going to include a DH that did NOT convert to the Magical Way and thus you were forced to kick him to the curb. Apparently I have a tendency to read too much into titles and make snap judgments. (See LaLa's report -- oh wait, you already did! :thumbsup2 )

Can't wait to read the continuing saga. popcorn::

This is for you. :artist: Because you deserve it.

Um, yeah... that would NOT be very magical would it... I still want to read the trip report about the lady who has the baby at the bottom of Splash Mountain. Since you are a DVC member, a great writer and the mother of beautiful children maybe you could make that happpen for me...

Thanks so much for the :artist: I love him!

Twinkiemama, I started this thread about 3 hours ago and now have finally caught up (too many interruptions tonight). I'm sure enjoying it. Just wanted to say HI from a fellow Kansan with twins of my own. (Mine are grown though)! I'm lucky to have a Disney loving DH too. Although at the moment he isn't too happy with me. He is trying to sleep and I won't put the computer down and turn off the light! :teeth: I HAD to catch up on this thread! Please don't wait too long to continue!

Thanks for the congrats.

As for saving on the souvenir budget.....No way. Just amortized costs. :) Considering the costs of food, clothes, lodging, "extras", proms, college, possibly a wedding....over the next 18 years, I figure we came home with the most expensive "souvenir" in The World. But I'm sure her big sister and her big brother will actually love her, and play with her, more than any of the other souvenirs we brought home from the trip. Or at least...I hope so. I know her mommy and daddy certainly will.

FYI, my wife read your TR last night and was bawling her eyes out (which she tried to chalk up to pregnancy hormones....I didn't buy it) by the end. It really is a great story, and a great piece of "family lore".

:lmao: Let's not forget the return Disney trips to celebrate her arrival.... and she certainly has a great reason to convince her daddy to spring for a Disney Fairytale Wedding.... :lmao:

Nothing is more magical than a new person to love... Another bonus is that when she begins to ask difficult questions about where she is is from you can always answer "Disney World!" That will distract any child for several years

Ahh, that is so sweet. Thanks. Your wife can blame anything she wants on pregnancy hormones... for the next 18 years... at least that is what I plan on doing

Ok, where is your trip report? you already have a title ....

We're actually talking about purchasing a stake in the DVC. It's something we've sort of talked about, before, but were never overly motivated to do. Now, there's a bit of incentive, since we just HAVE to go back regularly. :)

Don't talk about the Fairy Tale Weddings. I've seen the costs (and am already expecting that to be "the request" when the time comes...for both girls). They make that little vein on my neck start to bulge...much like projected college costs for the 3 wee ones do.

LOVE your answer to "the facts of life" questions...I'm gonna file that away for future use.

On the trip report....I'm lazy. Well, maybe lazy's not the right word. My wife did, in fact, capture just about every moment of the trip on film (well, not film, exactly.....1GB Sandisk cards). And she has scrapbooked it like there is no tomorrow. So my motivation to type up a wordy description of the trip is, well.....lacking. Not to mention my memory is not nearly as detailed as yours (and the other TR authors).

Wow - what a truly awesome report! I kept passing it by because I didn't understand how the title related to a trip report and thought it was one of those long sagas about family related stuff and not much Disney magic but yours is my all time favorite and ranks #1!

Thank you for sharing with us - would love to see some pics of your family (I can see it has grown since 1998). We were there in 1997 and I wish I could remember enough to put into a trip report (the 10 days sort of blended).

It was so wonderful your husband wanted to go back after seeming skeptical at first (your 4 year old was a little prince).
