I have reservations at WDW next week. We are driving in and I have two days before I need to cancel. I really don’t do well in the heat and the forecast for LBV is 82-84 degrees for the days I’ll be there. Im contemplating canceling. So how hot is too hot for you?

I'm a northerner and to me, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. I really don't like it once the dew points get over 68-70.

That being said, if the only time of year I could go was the middle of August, I would suffer and go.

Only you really know what you can handle. I can handle 100+ with high humidity. A friend is done at 80 with mid-humidity.

We were there in August with some serious temps, up over 100 before the humidity making it feel warmer, not a drop of rain to cool anything off. We survived but not sure we'd do it again unless it was our only option. We had gone the previous August and it was hot but totally manageable for us- so much so that we were brave and scheduled an August 2023 trip and it was night and day with the sun beating down on us for 8 straight days. I wanted to enjoy some places (like Main Street) and we just couldn't- we were walking through shops to stay in air conditioning and jumping quickly from shade to shade before we wanted to kill each other.

So, I'd say high 90s? Fine. Triple digits + humidity? Eh, I'd rather not.

Do NOT cancel!
Remember, those predictions are for the HIGH temp of the day which , at this time of the year will be a bit later in the morning and it will cool faster in the evenings.
There are many places to get out of the heat if you must!

Honestly that forecast sounds lovely for this time of year. I'm another person who was down in August this year and can confirm that "real feel" temps of 115+ are a No Go. I can handle 90s with humidity, but this August was brutal. No rain, no breeze even! Felt like being slowly smothered in a sauna. I think the temps you are seeing for your trip will be just fine.

Years ago we went in the summer and had four days over 100 but I was young then. Couldn't do that now lol.

That's so hot that it's miserable. Cancel. You will regret being there in that heat.

I’m very sensitive to heat too. I steer clear of most months at WDW just because of that. Too hot for me is usually over 85. I live in CA and it is a “dry heat” here most of the time, which doesn’t make it any better imo but supposedly humidity makes everything worse. Anyways, like a pp mentioned that will be the high for the day, it should be cooler in the mornings and evenings. I avoid parks in the middle of the day anyways.

I love the heat, so it’s never to hot for me.

Cold is what gets me - being cold is the worst!

We live in Texas, so we are fairly accustomed to high temps. Can't say we like 'em, but we can tolerate 'em. The temps in Florida become a lot more manageable as the humidity comes down. This is one of my favorite times of the year to go for that very reason. Also, we usually rope drop, then hit the resort/pool/Disney Springs mid day, then head back to the parks around 5:00. Mornings are typically cooler, but humid, and evenings are typically less humid and cooler. Good luck

I like heat so the heat and humidity do not bother me but 90 degrees is way too hot for my wife. But, coming from Iowa in the Summer, it can be just as hot and humid or worse here than when we get to Orlando. We loved our December trip in 2021.

I did August twice in 2011 and 2015. I was younger and a different person back then because I will not go to Disney in August again. Those over 100 degree days are no joke. And this was with us not being in the park midday at all. We would be at the pool. Even my DD says she will not go in the summer even if it's for a longer trip.

I don't think 82-84 is bad this time of year. We've done early November twice since that 2015 trip and one year it was unseasonably hot according to the locals and snow birds. In the mid 80s all week. But it was nice to us (we're from NJ). IMO it was a really nice trip and I felt the weather was great. It was cool in the morning and evenings but nice enough midday to go the pool which we did often. On rope drop days we hit the pool midday. On days we hit the parks later we hit the pool in the morning and avoided being in the direct sunlight while in the park midday. We would do shows or indoor attractions during that time.

We did early November again last year and it was a bit cooler (highs in the 82-83 range I think) and it was really nice.
