How hot does it have to be for you to use your AC?

I'm actually glad we don't have AC anymore....when we lived in Philly and had AC, my DH used to drive me crazy. How is it that in winter, he likes the heat cranked up to 79 or he's "freezing," yet in summer, if that AC wasn't set at about 68, he would say he's "boiling" ???

We have a heat pump, so it's set to automatically cool when it gets to 74 and heat when it gets down to 70. I don't even think about it, that's just where our thermostat is set and it keeps it in a comfortable 4 degree range.

I know they can't be used in all parts of the country, but here in the Pacific Northwest they are great and take all of the guess work out of heating/ cooling the house.

No A/C, but I Keep the hot tub at 102 degrees! We live on the flanks of Pikes Peak in Colorado. The high today was 54 degrees. I had to resist going over and turning on the furnace!

We're a little worried about the heat and humidity in Orlando in October when we go to WDW.
