How have you used pool hopping?

We usually stay at BCV.

So, on days we are in MK, we go to Grand Floridian to take an
hour or two swim break.

Also, we go over to BWV for a few hours on the slide.

LOVE pool hopping.....

I have been a member since 95 and never pooled hopped. I think it is a perk that will come to an end. It is just not the thing to do for me. I could never walk into a resort and use their pool, some can I guess, but I can't.

So far we have pool hopped to the CR and WL - CR after an MK park trip and WL before leaving to the airport

Looking forward to more and we would be not pleased if this perk was removed

We are going to try POFQ, POR and CSR pools over the next couple of trips

Never actually pool hopped, but did wander around the SAB area in our street clothes prior to the "No Poll Hopping" rule for that resort. We were just checking out all the various WDW resorts.

We have pool hopped a few times, usually on non-park days... We always call the resort ahead of time to make sure there is capacity.

We have hopped over to VWL twice for a day of swimming and then dinner at the Whispering Canyon..

We will occaisionally do the same for OKW... Will go and enjoy the pool, shop at Conch Flats, and then have dinner or dessert at Oliva's. When then usually take the Tremble fairy to DD, and shop before going back to BWV.

We once hopped over to POR, because friends that were staying with us wanted to see that resort.

We hopped once to Poly as well, when relatives where staying there...

While this technically isn't hopping, we have also used the pools at AS Sports, ASMusic, CSR, AKL, VB, and both cruise ships while we have stayed there... This summer, we will be using the pools at FW, CBR, and hopefully HHI (if we get our waitlist)...

We used to pool hop to SAB when we stayed at the BWV one time per trip before the BCV's were built. Haven't pool hopped since they closed off SAB but purchased at the BCV so we can get our SAB fix every once in while.

Last year we pool hopped over to Polynesian for an hour or so. Then we caught a bus to a water park, lol.

We never get a chance to because of blackout dates.We go every 4th of july and we started going x-mas week.I have stayed at theBWV for the last 2 years on the 4th and they have wrist bands for the Beach Club pool resort guests.Unless your going on a holiday dont worry..

We pool hop every trip at least once. Thru the years have tried SAB, BWV, WLV, Poly, PO, and CS. Just a little adventure and a perk we would miss very much.

We always spend one afternoon at the Polynesian. My hubby takes one child out on the lake in a speedboat while the other kid swims, then they switch. We eat lunch and hang out. We just drive back to our room in our suits and change later.

Often we scope out a new resort this way too. Last visit we went over to Carribean Beach and had lunch, shopped. etc. Never did actually get in the pool -- we ran out of time -- but this helps me plan future trips. The kids liked the pool and asked to stay sometime, so in July we will have 2 nights at the Carribean Beach before heading over to the VWL. We really enjoy pool hopping and hope they don't discontinue it.

We never pool hop. It was never a perk that interested us.

We pool hopped to BWV when we stayed at OKW and BCV. Hopped to SAB before they closed it to hopping. Also have gone to CSR when we were going to dinner at Pepper Market. We've thought about going to GF and Poly and WL, but just never seem to find the time!

We like the option of the perk, but don't use it more than once a trip, if that. I would be sad if it was gone. I think it probably causes Disney no real problems and therefore isn't in much danger of being taken away. I also think if they don't allow SSR into the mix (and since they haven't announced anything, I think it's in) that it will be because of the DTD proximity and people coming over from there. The pool doesn't look like a big draw theming wise - not like SAB. I'm sure we'll try it out in Dec.

Something we agree on. We don't use this perk. We only swim where we are staying.

In our case, when we have pool hopped we just dry off and put our clothes on over our suits and head back to the villas to shower and such. My guess is that this is how most people do it...not much different than how we handle a water park.

We've enjoyed pool hopping a few times...to SAB when it was allowed, to the Polynesian pool for a break from a day at MK. It's just another way to "sample" different resorts at WDW, which we always enjoy.

We've pool hopped lots of times - but then the pool at OKW isn't quite as exciting. Thankfully that is soon to change

As to where to change clothes -- the GF and the Poly both have bathrooms at the pool with the slides that have showers and changing facilities. As does POFQ (was just there this past wknd for a mother's day stay -- great pool btw ) so we have spent time in the pool and then changed in the bathrooms and headed out to a park.

I'm with you, Pa. Swim where you stay and let me have room at my home resort. I wish they would do away with it also.
