How have the passenger numbers been lately?

We are sailing on the 1/31 MDAS and our ticketed meet only listed Groot. Was this the same for yours and it was a surprise Spiderman? Also, did you notice what percentage of kids were in Marvel costumes?

Groot was the sign up. But when we arrived Groot and Gamora were there taking photos for us. Spiderman was across the room. Spiderman was very talkative almost just in character but it was great.

Then as we were waiting for Spiderman maybe 3 families in front of us they took about a 3-5min break. When they came back out Star Lord was with Groot.

The other sign up meet and greet was specifically Ironman and Black Panther. in the D Lounge.

MDAS cruise had fireworks for MDAS none for pirate night. We had Pirate Menu on the 1st cruise of our B2B and enjoyed the fireworks and show in the dining room. Ont he 2nd leg the MDAS cruise we did Palo on Pirate night as I think the Pirate Menu is Ok but not our favorite. Besides doing the B2B we got our pirate night fix the first time. Really Pirate night is scaled back and not what it used to be. This was a bit of a bummer as the on deck shows are pretty low energy except for the MDAS show. That was one of the best we have seen on DCL. I think it beats the Star Wars day at sea show. It was cool. They did a early show at like 830p and then the late show at 1030p. There was no real issue with seeing the show. We arrive about 20mins early to get out favored spot to watch.

Thanks! Were you able to go back to see Star Lord? I have a VERY character obsessed kiddo so just want to be prepared in case they switch out characters and she can't go back to see the new ones And yes, we have groot reserved as well as Iron Man/Black Panther. It's awesome that they added more characters to the meets.

We booked this specifically for MDAS so I'm so glad to hear the deck party review. We loved our SWDAS.

It seemed to be easy to get Meet and Greet tickets even if you had not booked ahead of time on the 1/17 MDAS cruise. Toward the end of the ticketed time period, they were also inviting people to come in even without tickets. About 800 guests on our cruise. The longest line we saw was for Thor/Loki and it was not long.

We did have the pirate and MDAS menus, plus the standard rotational menus.

We were on 1/17 too. We walked by Iron Man and Black Panther and cruise director Darren ushered us right in because there was literally no one in there!

No we didn't go back in line and try to get photos with him, but we did get photos of him. You could probably just jump over. They were literally 15-20ft away.

Like I said the lines were very short even for the assigned meet and greets. Remember they are used to serving 2000-2500 guests and there were just shy of 800 on our cruise.

Thanks again! I'm very curious to see how many we end up having sail on ours. It's a winter break week for some schools so I'm wondering if that will end up impacting how many passengers we have.

Disembarked the Dream this morning. Our sailing had 1,170. Reports were that today's sailing would be around 800.

Yes that's exactly what the captain is calling it!! Ended up only 284 of the 325 people actually made it onboard.

We sail (theoretically) next week and I’m SO curious what the pac count will be! Any other modifications to the sailing? Bars? Kids clubs still open?

My heart is breaking for tip dependent employees. We cant afford to tip 5X the normal 18% tip. But feel so very responsible for that cost. They have families that need this money enough to leave them for months in order to be able to make it and here I am trying to have a good time. I feel…..gosh I can’t find a term bad enough. I paid 50% tip instead of 20% on my sailing last week and feel I should have done more. I’m going again in May this is stressful.

We "overtipped" on our Fantasy cruise several weeks back. The fact that we are at least sailing is helpful to the cast/crew members.

Everything was open but usually with 2-4 cast members standing around waiting for you. Trivia and games were difficult sometimes due to not enough people playing. That's about it.
