How hard will this be... BWV/BCV/WLV at 7 mo. window in Oct.

Planning our October, 2010 family trip to WDW....

Our home is SSR....we'd love to try to get a 2-bedroom at BWV, BCV or WLV for 7-nights in October (2010).

In your opinion, how hard will it be to get a 2-bedroom at any of these resorts at the 7-month window?

We were going to go ahead and book a 2-bedroom at SSR at 11-months...just to have something....or should we not and just chance it at 7-months?

Does one of the resorts (BWV, BCV or WLV) fill-up before the others?

I'd definitely book something at SSR and then try at the 7-month point for the other resorts if October is a firm vacation time for you. The availability of BWV and BCV will be limited due to the F&W festival. The availability at VWL will be limited due to its small size.

Historically, I would say that BWV and BCV are most difficult due to the nearby F&W festival at EPCOT (many own those resorts to get that EPCOT location for F&W at 11 months) VWL is fairly difficult year-round, but BLT may take some pressure off VWL availability. There seemed to be some reported sucesses last year for the EPCOT area waitlists, but who knows about this and next year with new Kidani, BLT and THV units and owners online by then..

It will really be a guess, but follow the October Waitlist threads this year to get a feel for next.

Needing a 2BR, you may want to book SSR at 11 months, then book/WL at 7.

There are some October weeks that are more difficult than others due to various school/holiday periods (I think there's a Hebrew holiday, and a Jersey week?, and Halloween may be more popular for MNSSHP..)

You should get something. I'd book at 11 months for SSR then at 7 months out book your preferred option if available. Unless your first choice is available for the entire time, book what you can (part of the days, secondary choices) but do so in a different name. Then wait list as appropriate. BWV preferred view will be the easiest in all likelihood but you should be able to get any of them except BW view and possibly standard view at BWV.

thanks guys! big help!! in the past we've gone around columbus day...usually the week after...and have stayed at our home resort...but would like to change it up a bit...thanks for all of your advice!

I needed a 2 BR in Oct two years ago at BWV's, for a week. I called at 9:00. I did get the last one as per MS. It was preferred view. All standard views were taken. When I told MS what I needed, she pulled it, then took all my information. They are highly sought after. Good luck.
