I have all my ADR's except Le Cellier. UGh! I am going to try to walk in with my family of 5 ( 3 kids) on Aug. 3. How hard do you think this will be? Thanks for the help.

You never know. That is one of the most popular restaurants on Disney property and I truly hope you get in, but very few people are able to walk up at LeCellier. I called at 178 days out and there was only 1 available seating which was at 9:15pm. Good Luck!!:thumbsup2

Unfortunately I'm going to say pretty impossible. I know a server there and they've been almost solidly booked for around the last month and August is only going to be busier.

I'm sure it is a huge long shot however to give you hope we ate there March 13th during Spring Break time and saw numerous walk ins being taken with just a 15 minute wait so one never knows!

For a family of 5? Very, very unlikely! For a our family of 5 last year I called in june for a early august reservation. They had one lunch reservation available during our whole stay. We took it. We didn't see them accepting any walk ups, even at lunch. It's just not a very big place. If you can't get it though, don't fret, in my opinion there are better steaks elsewhere at Disney!

We managed a walk up during free dining 2 years ago - but is was a late lunch around 2.30pm 0 there were 3 of us - I would say it's definitely worth a shot

Probably not likely. If you are in the area give it a shot, but don't go making a special trip.

why not just pick another place to eat? why risk it? i wouldn't want to deal with 3 hungry kids just on the extremely rare chance it would happen. especially with 5 people.

Getting into Le Cellier without an ADR is extremely rare at any time of year. During August (free dining)......forget it. They don't hold tables for walk-ins, and they don't let you wait for a table. If they're fully booked, which they will be, they'll just turn you away.

Keep calling for that ADR, people do cancel. Even if you have to call the morning that you want to dine at Le Cellier, there may still be last minute cancellations.

Walking in is no problem. Staying to eat is. (Walk in. Walk right back out. ;) )

We (two of us) went in late Sept-early Oct. Free dining-yes, but at the very end. We were there for ten days and I called for ADR's at 180+10. There was one spot available-at 9:30 PM on Thursday.

Sorry -- I'd have to agree with everyone else on this one. I'm thinking your only chance might be to show up the minute they open for lunch...after that it's going to be near impossible as they get really backed up and even people with ADRs sometimes have to wait to get a table.

You could also try the concierge desk at your resort to see if they might be able to help you.

Good Luck!

I went this past Dec. w/o an adr and tried to walk in. They had no openings. I also tried to get an adr before we went in March and only got lunch ressies. When I got there, I asked the concierge every day and there was no availability all week. I would check the trade, cancel boards often and keep checking with disney dining before you leave. You're probably more likely to luck up that way. Good luck!

You can keep trying to get a reservation, but if you don't get one, I would so recommend you make other plans. The day I was there last Aug the little reception room was absolutely packed with folks with reservations. I was there a little early for my 11:30am reservation (they begin serving at 11:30am), and I wasn't taken to a table until after 12pm. Saw three parties attempt a walk up, no reservations available at all. Their kids looked hungry and tired. Le Cellier in Aug is extremely busy.
