How hard to get ressie in summer at HH?

I am considering purchasing points and was wondering if we want to go to HH every other year, how hard is it to book a 2 bdrm in the summer if you don't own there? I was thinking about buying there and then when we go to WDW we should be able to get something at 7 months at one of the resorts.

HH is at it's busiest in the summer months. The GVs, Studios and 1BR villas are reserved quickly, but occasionally may be available at 7 months. 2BRs are the most plentiful at the resort and are often available right at 7 months.

We got a 1BR at HHI at 7 months four years ago - for a stay starting in mid August. A lot of sunbelt school systems are open by then so demand drops a little; most of the other guests there during our stay were from the northeast or U.K.

Mid June to mid August will be the toughest but if you reserve exactly at 7 mo out to the day you'll have a chance.
