How hard to get PS's in March?

:flower1: I've been reading alot of these threads about making reservations and am starting to worry about setting these up? :worried: If I can't call right at 7am at the 90 day mark, do they tend to fill up really fast the first full week of Mar? I'm not looking for any of the Princess meals, which I know go fast, but just general sit-downs.
The book says the crowds are moderate, but I was reading some people having trouble making PS's for October, which I thought was about the same crowd level. Just wondering if anyone has been there then and can give me some idea on how quickly I need to call at my 90-day point. :confused3

October is filling up because of the free dining. Easter is late next year so you shouldn't have any trouble the first week of March. I would say since you aren't doing any princess meals, you should be able to make all of your ADR's at 90 days. If you are staying onsite and they continue the 90+10 perk you should have no problems either. A lot of people don't make their regular sit-down ADR's until 30 days out or even when they get to WDW. I am a planner, so I make mine 90 days out regardless of popularity. You can always change them later, but this way, you have ADR's somewhere regardless. If you are doing any character meals, just to be safe, call at 90 days. Doesn't have to be right at 7:00 am if it's not the princess meals. Good luck!

Just had to say "HI!" to another Sooner fan!. I'm a '83 grad.

PS (or ADR's), except for CRT & PSB usually are not too hard to get. October is tough because of the free dining promotion. On our last 2 trips we have made our PS's less than a month from our trip & have not had a problem with getting everything we want.

When we went in March, we got PSs just a few days in advance for Boma and Chef Mickey's breakfast. Neither was packed.

Any character meals should be booked out as far as possible. Any other restaurants that you feel as "MUST DO!" should be booked out as far as you can, just to be on the safe side. Most everything else can be done 30 days out, or even once you arrive... just as long as you are willing to be flexible with days or times.

:flower: Hey all, thanks for the replies. And rascalmom - GO SOONERS!
I'm going to figure out my schedule as best I can and make the arrangements at 90 days - 1 morning for each day since I'll be at SOG. Then when the final hours are officially out at about 60 days, I may try to do a little rearranging if necessary - either my itinerary or my ADR's. :cool1:
Trying to get most the planning done before football season! It's hard to obsess about two things at the same time, and the games will be over for a while by the time I make my first ADR's! :teeth:
I'm trying to make it as organized and smooth as possible so DH will be receptive to going more often... ;)

I do not think just because it is harder lately to get a PS in Sept or Oct that it means more crowds I think the dining plan is forcing people to make the PS right awy and some are making tons of PS!!! I would definitely hit the 90 mark for all PS in March...JMHO...besides there are a limited number of places to eat, esp on the plan and then with those places there are limited times for bkfst lunch and dinner so YES esp if you want a normal eating time at a popular sit down place.
