i made an ADR at 7:20 for our party of 6 at R&C so we can watch illuminations. how good of chance do we have to be seated on the patio? also do the servers try to rush you out of the restaurant so that we will be done with our meal way before illuminations start?

No, they do not rush you. The servers know that anyone there at that time is probably planning on staying for Illuminations and they pace your meal accordingly. As far as your chances that's hard to say. I have had an ADR for R&C for 7:10pm-7:30pm five different times and have gotten a table on the patio three of those times. Twice I was told I had to take a table inside.

There was a thread on this recently; apparently, it is entirely random. Something to the effect that Rose & Crown has a policy, and even signage, that diners can't make seating location requests.

But even if your table is inside the building, there's a viewing area at the rear of the patio where your server will direct you, if you want to watch Illuminations during your meal.

I just booked a 7:30 resi. The dining rep who helped me told me that she noted the reservation and when I get there I should tell them that I'd like a patio table. Of course, no guarantee she said. But, she also said to go a little before my resi and let them know.

Does anyone know if they have tables for two out on the patio seating area?

We had ADRs for 7:20. We arrived early, like they suggest. The CM was from Ireland, she noted my Irish name was the same as her best friend back home. We thought we were a shoe in for patio seating. Well we were not. Boy was I glad. It was a hot humid night and we so enjoyed the AC. When it came time for Illumination our server show us where to go and held our table till we returned. When it was over we returned to our table and had desert. Best seats in the house (inside)

About 30% of the seats are outside, so you have about a 30% chance of sitting outside for Illuminations.

We got a table outside last week. Our ADR was for 8pm. When when checked in at 7:45, we asked for an outside table. We waited about 20 minutes and were seated. Our dessert was brought out right after Illuminations. One thing, OMG was it chilly. They ended up putting on the outdoor heaters, but my son was already a popsicle.

one year we were inside (3 of us) and last year we were put outside (4 of us) ....it will be interesting to see where we get in May because there is only 2 of us - i can't remember seeing any tables for 2 people.
