With October as the beginning of the new fiscal year for Disney, I'm curious about what changes we may see out of ROFR. Hibernation time? Fat Bear week just before hibernation time? Good luck, everybody!

I'm not in the market for another contract at the moment. I just purchased a contract recently, and I'm waiting for DVC to add it to my membership. Why do I keep looking at this thread? LOL

Is it already October? I guess it is time for another one of these quarterly threads. New quarter, and new fiscal year for Disney. It sounds like ROFR was grabbing some contracts right until the last couple of hours before the new fiscal year.

In our experience, even with rooms being free, our total annual expenses are creeping up over time as we go more often and blow more money on other things like LL, tours, dining, flights, etc.

You can keep costs down if you have an AP and are diligent about not eating table service and eating a meal or 2 a day in the room. But most don’t have that restraint.

For us DVC has made us go to the park much more than we ever have in the past. So that’s why our costs are so high being owners.

I need to figure out how go to the parks less and to eat in the room. lol

We’ve found that door dashing to the villa often ends up being less expensive for us than eating in the park.
