How Good are my Chances?

I am already booked for a trip in October at the BWV. I was just able to convince my sister to come along. (it will be sis, her hubby and their baby) I just called MS and they said they are sold out of everything at both the BWV and the BCV. How good do you think my chances are of a waitlist studio coming through? Thanks,

You've still got time for the wait list to come through. I'd consider a "backup" plan but I wouldn't abandon hope for the waitlist to work.

We have had great luck with the waitlist, we have been successful every time we tried. Most recently, we were on the waitlist for Christmas Eve for a 1-BR standard view and we got it after about a month on the list. Good luck!

Depends on when in October. If it's after the 15th, you are dealing with the Food & Wine Fest which really fills up the Epcot resorts. I'd get a backup plan, just in case.

For all your help. It is after the 15th. We will arrive on the 19th of October. Any suggestions for a backup plan? Even with good Ap rates or codes, it will still be close to $200 a night. Did I mention we are footing the bill?? Any ideas? Thanks,

We waitlisted for a studio for an October stay at BWV and BCV last year and we never got a call. If I remember correctly we went on the waitlist in June. Your mileage may vary...

We have made 5 trips over the past 10 years in October and it has seemingly gotten more difficult to get reservations at any resort. The golf tournament, Halloween, and Food & Wine Festival seem to be a big draw.

My suggestion would be to waitlist for each individual day, with automatic confirmation. We waitlisted for the entire stay which I think was a mistake in hindsight.

Thanks Troy, I didn't know you could do that. I will call tomorrow and ask them for that. I didn't think October was that busy!! I guess members like that time of year.
