How funny is this.....

We just booked our October trip this past week (going 10/1-10/9) for the F&W festival. I knew right when I booked that I probably would not be able to get some of the hard to get places because we are already 3 months behind in reserving ADRs....no problem, I was fine with that. Well, I started reserving and lucked out and got a 8:20am ADR for CRT and a 8:55pm BOG dinner (was playing around just to see if I can get one of these places) plus others right at the time that I wanted them. The only thing I am having trouble getting is a breakfast at Crystal Palace. Granted I am only limited to 1 day so that is part of my problem, but I just find it funny that I had no problems with getting CRT and BOG (the hardest ADR to get right now) but having a problem with CP. I still have 3 months and will be stalking the online dining (I'm sure something will pop up sooner or later) but I just had to come here and vent a little. Thanks for listening .

Ooh, sprinkle some of your luck on me! I have been checking for BoG several times a day ( also going in Oct). I did catch an early ADR for Chef Mickeys, quite by accident. My husband has been wanting to go there and I just happened to see it on one of my BOG searches when I didn't search by restaurant name.

Honeybunches congrats on your CM ADR....don't you just love it when ADRs just kind of pop up on you unexpectedly? That is exactly how I got my BOG ADR, granted it is for 8:55pm, but hey I am not complaining...at least I have one . Good luck to both of you.

I don't know ... I had the same experience last year when I booked over Labor Day and got everything I wanted for December. It was weird. I will tell you, however, I did go for something else beside CP because THAT, incidentally, was booked! LOL

I went during NYE week last year and good spots kept opening up all the way until I left.

Then once we were there, everything was pretty much unavailable no matter when I checked.
