I'd like to plan a trip for late May/early June - right around Memorial Day of 2003. Right now the only thing standing in the way is my DH - he is not a Disney fan :( I'm trying to wait for the 'right' time to broach the subject with him, but in the meantime, I'm concerned that if I wait too long, we won't be able to get ressies. I've heard that the resorts fill up fast at this time of year...so what does exactly does that mean...6 months ahead of time...a year? How long can I wait and still be reasonably certain that a room will still be available at our chosen resort (the GF)?

TIA,
Kim

I made my ressies for this June at the beginning of March. To be on the safe side, book it 6 months out or so.

Have fun planning!

I know what you mean KimR! My husband is not a big Disney fan either:( . I have to wait for the "right" time too!:)
The resorts seemed to be pretty busy that week this past year according to these boards. To be safe, I would go for 9 mos out. This way you should not only get your desired hotel, but room type too. I think 6 mos "should" get you your desired hotel, but if it is extremely important, I wouldn't bank on it.
You could always book the room and then if DH says no, cancel.:( :(

Good Luck! I hope he says yes!:D :D

We are going in just a few days. We started planning in January and got everything we asked for. I think 6 months out is plenty of time. ;)
