How far out do you book?

I confess I still check them out too! Maybe we can call it a hobby now? Like in the questionaires that ask: "What are your hobbies/interests?".

As a general rule we book at 11/7 month windows. But there are times we have booked much closer to the trip -- unexpected opportunities do arise.

We mostly book 11/7 but have been known to book trips on much shorter notice. 37 days is our record so far. Scored a 2 bedroom VWL in September.

For 2005, we are using the 7/11 month window on all but our January OKW trip. We just got around to figuring out life in 2005, so we have to book that trip 6 months out.

There is a week this year in August, where I am booking both HH at the 7 month window and BWV 11 months out.

Fun fun fun. Love it.

I think most DISers book at their window, not sure that is true with the rest of the membership. Which is why I am not sure there will be much change in booking once SSR is sold out. I also think most DISers go yearly or more often while other members don't.

This poll is invalid for predicting anything -- based on sampling error. As you said, len, this is poll of DISer's who are the most obsessive compulsive Disneyphiles on the planet. There's a very good chance that we plan much further ahead than the average human.

ITA. Even if the poll accurately reflects the habits of those who frequent this board (and I doubt even that), we are still only a small subset of all DVC members.

That said, it's still a fun poll! Just don't let the results make you crazy!
