How far out do they post AP rates?

DH and I just purchased our Florida Resident Premium APs and are looking for rooms for October. Anyone know when the AP rates are usually posted? Like how far out, etc? I'm just trying to get an idea so I know when to start looking.

TIA!

AP rates used to always come out before the GP discounts, but not this year. For my April 30th-May 8th trip they didn't come out until about a week before the 45 day mark. I had already booked the GP discount and was getting really concerned that the AP discounts may not come out until after the 45 day, at which time we would have had to pay a change fee in order to switch. We had booked a pkg because we wanted to add the DDP.

For my Sept 24th-Oct 2nd trip I used a GP code that came out a few months ago, but decided to do a room only and may add the DDP later. At least with a room only ressie I can make changes up until almost the last minute, but if AP discounts for some reason don't come out, at least I have something booked.

Based on the history chart, AP rates for early June should have been out by now.

Should I give up hoping for an AP rate for my June 2-8 trip?

TIA!

If you look back at 2008 & 2009 both years the discounts for summer dates came out aorund May 7. I think we'll see this year's around that time too. I think there will be something -- since there is 30% off deluxes out for GP. It might not be as big a discount as last year and its possible it won't cover all room categories (like GP discount), but I'm sure there will be something.

I was thinking maybe it will come out after the 16th of April because the current spring one says "book by april 16" so maybe after that we will see something?! If not, the late spring/early june one ends on June 2. We'll keep our fingers crossed!

I missed the deadline for the GP code. I just made a reservation today, got the AP rate for the first two nights.

unless you are staying at a mod or value, there is still a GP code that covers those dates. Check the special offers page on WDW.com

:confused3 Still waiting , right now have split Reservations. Waiting For APH rates to add the dining plan.

Sadly, even with the discount, I can't take advantage of the GP rates. The deluxe hotels are just too expensive.

They are doing discounts so differently this year, we really can't count on the historical release dates. I'm going on the Passholder site every morning now before work to check.
I have booked BC (late Aug) with the 35% GP that was out awhile ago and added DDP, so I have something anyway. If & when AP comes out, I can drop the park ticket.

Do you have to book tickets to get the GP discounts? Sorry for all the questions. We just moved to Florida from California at the beginning of March so APs were never an option for our trips. Now that we have APs, I have bagillions of questions.

Where are you checking on the Passholder site? I can't get the stupid site to recognize my pass number. I've put it in 5 or 6 times now and it keeps it for a few days and then doesn't show up all of a sudden.

I was told by a CM yesterday that the AP rates for August and September should be out by May.

I guess now it goes by the due dates of your package balance? Thats what I gathered from speaking to her.

She was very nice.

That's good news. If my ressie starts in September and ends in October, do I get the AP rate for the whole stay or do I still need to wait for the October rates to be released? Also, are AP rates good for room-only or can I use them for my room plus dining plan ressies?

Sorry for all the questions. When I asked a CM on the booking line, she had no idea and no one else could answer either. DISers are sooooo much more knowledgeable. :goodvibes

I used an AP rate in March and was able to add the DDP. I always book my AP rooms online and you are able to add your DDP and DME at that time. You can get it for your entire room whether your family/friends have AP or not. My mom and brother don't have APs and they were still able to get the DDP with me since I was the AP holder. I don't even think the girl at POFQ even asked to look at my AP when I checked in.
