How far in advance?

I have read several posts where POR has been full for Dec. already. I know that most of them are for Pop Warner weeks, but now I am worried. How far in advance do I need to book POR in advance for the week before Christmas including Christmas Day and the 26th? I have my heart set on POR for my 10th Anniversary trip and want to make sure I get it.

Remind me what the penalty is for canceling a package reservation more than 45 days out is? I know within the 45 day range it is the $200 deposit, right?

This is our first trip during Christmas. We are also celebrating our 10th Anniversary (so congrats to you!!) I would try and book as soon as possible. I have read on here where some people have not been able to get WL Standard View already. Everyone says the holidays are a very busy time!!
