How far in advance to book MNSSHP?

I am bringing my grand-daughter for her first trip to Disneyworld. I am considering booking MNSSHP instead of another day at a park (we are only there for 4 days/nights). Will I have time to book a ticket to MNSSHP after I elect my fp+ (60 days out on the 19th of August) without worry of them being sold out 60 days prior to park arrival?

Thanks in advance. Has been a long time since my last trip to DW.

Probably. Keep an eye on the tickets, but some parties don't sell out at all and many don't sell out till the day of. They can, though, so just be aware and plan accordingly.

Thank you. I suspect that, without her being a frozen fan, I would simply pick one of the nights and book accordingly. But, I am waiting to see if I can score a FEA fastpass for her and plan around that.

One thing to consider- if you are only going to MNSSHP and no other park that day, you can book up to 3 FPs with your party ticket when you make your other selections. That's why we purchased ours before the 60 day mark.

Again....probably. It's hard to know when certain nights will sell out. It also depends on when you are going. If you're attending nearer Halloween, those parties typically sell out first (understandable). It looks like you're going in mid-October, so ... again....you're probably okay. If you can pick a MNSSHP night and book your Fps around the party, that might be a better way to go. :confused3:confused3:confused3:confused3

Please note that there are no Fps DURING a party or any hard-ticketed event.

I really appreciate the advice. Am either planning on the 20th or 21st of October for MNSSHP. We will be bringing our little princess on the 18th through the 21st of October.

Last year I had to book mine 3:30-4:30, 4:30-5:30 and 5:30-6:30. For some reason they wouldn't let me book a 6-7 FP so I backed them all up a half hour. My memory is a little fuzzy, my first one may have been a little earlier, like 3:20-4:20, but I got there plenty early and was in the park by 3:45 on my party ticket so it worked out.

The only night you have to worry about selling out 60 days in advance is Halloween night. Mid October should be fine.

They want the non-party people out by 7:00 so they don't allow fastpass past 6:30.

If you look at the first post of the "Official" 2016 MNSSHP thread, near the end of the post, you'll see the dates the parties sold out last year. With the exception of the dates right near Halloween, the dates that sold out did so at most a few days before the event. This means it makes sense to postpone until you can at least get some sense of storm risk.

The Halloween dates sold out in August.

Just want you to know that folks haven't had any trouble getting FEA FP+ reservations for any day they want at the start of the 60-day window. I wouldn't worry about having to rearrange plans to make it work with that attraction.

That's not entirely true. A couple of us reported being unable to get FPs for Sep. 21-22. It looks easier to get them later in the week.

I'm also predicting that both Josh at easywdw and the predictions at Touring Plans are going to be way off for Epcot on 9/21, precisely because of the difference in FEA FP+ availability.

First I'm hearing of it, it's just those two days though? That sounds more like a Disney IT glitch than an availability problem. I know locals that have gotten FEA a week or two out.

Just those days, I don't think it's an IT glitch. More likely, it has to do with the days of the week people tend to arrive. We're arriving on a weekday, which creates a disadvantage against people arriving the previous weekend, though I don't understand why Wednesday and Thursday are the days to get hit like that.
