How far in advance to book Dine with Shamu?

We did the Dine with Shamu in San Diego about 8 years ago when our girls were small, now our son is turning 10 and thought he might like to enjoy the experience in Orlando?

Any idea how far in advance such opportunities need to be booked? Are they typically "sold out?" We intend to go some day during our WDW trip that is now just 8 days away.

Guidance, please?

When we went it was Sold out...We were glad we booked ahead...I think we booked 2 - 3 months ahead

When we went in June it was sold out. We booked about 8 weeks in advance. I believe tables are assigned based on booking date. We had a great table right next to the water. DD (age 10) loved this dining experience. We definately would consider doing this again if we go back to Sea World.
