One thing everyone says is a negative about BWV is the lack of a counter service place or food court area. I understand the Dolphin has a 24 hour cafeteria style restaurant called Picabu (was Tubbi's) Buffeteria. Is this a resonable option?

I've walked around the Boardwalk area many times, but haven't stayed there yet. Our first time will be 1 month from now. Plus I've never really considered the walk from BWV to the Dolphin.

So how long a walk would this be? Is it reasonable to consider heading over for a quick bite there? I know it involves heading outside the building which some don't like, but at least it's something more than the Pizza counter or hot dog cart.

It's a pleasant and short walk. 10 minutes?

You can also walk over the beach club and get counter service at Hurricane Hannahs. They have a children's meal that is served in a pail and shovel.

The Boardwalk bakery also serves breakfast and lunch sandwiches and a few other treats.

Also, I have previously ordered food at the ESPN to go.

At Leaping horse libations (pool), you can get some pre-packaged lite lunches.

The Boardwalk area, in my opinion, offers great variety of options vs. other resort areas.

Make sue to check out community hall with the kids. They have coloring, games, crafts, etc. Our kids love it there.

Have fun.

If you head out past Atlantic Dance Hall, and go through the Boardwalk arch and over the bridge to the Swolphin walkway, it's very close. :thumbsup2
If you don't feel like walking, and there's an MGM boat coming in from Epcot, hop on and it'll be the second stop (S/D). It will take longer, but it's a nice ride.:goodvibes
