How far apart are the stateroom doors?

I want to hang a garland between our adjoining staterooms (Dream 7628, 7630, 7632). Anyone know how far apart the doors are from door frame to door frame? TIA!

It can vary.

Some rooms are flat between rooms (maybe 6-8 feet between them):

Others have the doors inset away from the passageway (not a great picture, sorry) could be as much as 10-12 feet between them.

Does DCL let you do that? If so, I’m surprised.

We have done this with a zipline of Disney characters from one adjoining room to another, but only on the Wonder. Our string was about six feet long. Using magnets we even attached the line to not just the door frame, but the ceiling and walls, too. In the three times we have done this, DCL has not said a word. Our last extravaganza was a battle across the lobby of the forward elevators on the Wonder. Our son had the same opposite stateroom across the ship from us so we had a pirate sea battle with firing canon and Barbosa on one side and the same with Jack Sparrow on the other. Using Styrofoam balls cut in half, cotton and pipe cleaners we fought for six days along the Mexican coast with no defined winner. I even thought it would be cool to hang "cannon balls" across the lobby ceiling, but thought that that might be too much for DCL. Attached is a sample of our zipline.DSC09695.JPG

Just as long as it is not tape. If you can use a magnet, they don't care.

That’s interesting. I totally would have expected DCL to put the kibosh on that, with a rationale that the string “could interfere with a passenger’s means of egress from the stateroom in cases of emergency,” or something like that.

We kept them high enough so even our 6'4" son could get under them. Only used them twice and probably will not use them again...on to other concepts...
