I placed my order for next month. I have plenty of time today because we're stuck in the house due to the snow.

I usually do mine about 3 weeks ahead of time.

I was going through seeing if they had everything I wanted, after I did all that work, I didn't want to do it again. If they had a save cart option I probably would've waited another few weeks. At least it is already done!

Garden Grocer does save your cart for you... I have already been working on mine. I keep adding and deleting!!:lmao:

Good to know you can do our order ahead of time...we leave in 2 weeks, I need to get it together!

Anyone mind sharing how they came up with a list? We are staying at the Beach Club Villas, will have a kitchen to use, but also have the Disney Dining Plan. I am planning to eat the following meals in our room:

5 breakfasts, 3 dinners and afternoon/late night snacks.

Me, DH and 4 yr old. I don't want to order too much food, yet don't want to run out too early and need to pay OOP in the parks, or pay for a second food delivery.

Advice is appreciated!

I normally order about 1 month ahead.

In terms of a list, this is what we ordered for our Dec. trip (5 nights).

Milk - 1 gallon whole, 1 gallon skim
Eggs - 1 dozen
Butter
Bread
Cereal
Yogurt
Fruit - normally grapes and bannanas
Cheese
Frozen garlic bread
Bag salad
Pasta sauce
Chicken breasts
2 gallons water
1 OJ
1 Apple Juice
Lunch meat
Carrots

Things I take down on my own - small jar of peanut butter, small plastic jar of jelly, box of mac n cheese, box of pasta, small plastic salad dressing bottle.

This way, we have cereal, toast, eggs, yogurt as our breakfast options.

Snacks can be quick sandwiches (w/ lunch meat or PBJ).

Easy dinners - normally just marinate chicken in the salad dressing and cook. Have pasta and garlic bread as our sides. Or have sandwiches with mac n cheese and carrots.

We had minimal leftovers, but we also ate 4 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 3 dinners in the room.

Where do you cook the Eggs> Do you stay at Fort Wilderness?

I only ordered for breakfast & snacks. We don't have a kitchen. I was able to order the normal things we have at home, such a great selection :thumbsup2

I forgot disposable bowls but will just bring them along in my luggage.

This stuff looks quite costly compared to the normal grocery store! I think I will order some milk and drinks though. Can I pack cereal and things in my luggage(flying)?

Be careful!
I packed a box of Cheerios in my suitcase and it exploded!
Luckily it was a suitcase with just food and stuff in it.
I think I still have cheerio crumbs in that suitcase.:rotfl2:

Wegoshop.com you only pay regular prices for groceries and a set delivery fee.

Yes, you can pack all kinds of food in your checked luggage. But, anything may break, open, etc. So - anything that can be a mess we generally put in ziplocks, so any mess is contained.
