How far ahead can I book?

400 days and I highly recommend you book sooner rather than later.

Actually I've heard 499 or 500 from the day of arrival. tiggerdad, you're too young to be having senior moments yet. :teeth:

You'll have to call and book a reservation over the phone at this year's rates. 2017 rates have not been announced yet and your rates will convert to the new ones once they are announced.

Mmmmmm.... 500 days from now puts us in early October. normmo, you're gonna start a stampede for Halloween 2017 if you're not careful. :woohoo:

Never too young for those moments. Thanks for the correction.

I always thought it was 499 days, but this is what I was able to find on the web.

BOOKING YOUR WALT DISNEY WORLD TRIP IN 2017 AND BEYOND
You can book rooms at Walt Disney World for 2017 up to 500 days in advance right now. But there’s a couple of tricks and complexities.

  • You can’t do it on the Disney World website. You can only do it by calling Disney directly, or through a travel agent like Destinations in Florida.
  • For dates beyond what are available on the Disney World website, you can only book roomsnot packages with tickets, the dining plan, and such. (You can add these to your reservation later.)
  • The prices you’ll be quoted will be 2016 prices. These will be wrong. The prices for the next year are usually announced in the summer of the prior year–so 2017 prices likely will come out in summer 2016. This is also when the website is opened to 2017 reservations.
  • You will have to pay a deposit to hold your reservation. This deposit will increase when the final prices for 2017 come available, next summer.
  • When final prices come out, your travel agent will help you fix your deposits…and if any discounts come out, your travel agent can also help you take advantage of those! You can also add tickets and other parts of a package later, when final prices come out.

No worries Bama Ed - we're going in August of 2017 and you are correct, it is 499 days out that you can book. Too far away to start a count down chain but at least we've got a lot of time to plan!

Never too far for that. :) Helps to build the excitement.

My August trip is under 90 days. We finally got the tickets (spent about $875 for 3 Adult tickets for 4 days.... Savings of about $162). Got them linked to our MDE and are working the FP+ scheduling. (Well the DW is doing that part. I get the bills! )

Anyway.... I hope you have an awesome trip by the time you get there!

I called yesterday and CM said they are booking early Oct. I was wanting Christmas. She said 2017 prices should come out soon. She said to keep checking the next few weeks.

1) 499 Nights (500 Days) is correct.
2) You will not be quoted a firm price, just the price on the day you book.
3) The price is then adjusted when the price is established for the actual day of your check-in.
