How early to arrive for DL EMH rope drop?

I just realized I need some help! I love EMHs (and know the pitfalls) but I usually arrive about 10-15 mins after they start and am perfectly happy but this trip is shorter (only 1 DL EMH), on the weekend, and I'll have a friend who hasn't been to DL in 10 years. I want to make the most of it! What are some thoughts on when to arrive for a Saturday, 7am DL EMH/MM? (We're NOT joining the mad dash to Peter Pan, I'd rather sleep a little extra so no need to be first in line.)

I'd be in line by 6:45; like thru security, coffee in hand by 6:45.

If its an early morning opening then 45 minutes before gates opening will put you in the front of a line or very close to it which is what you want if you are trying to walk on as many rides as possible. So if park opens at 8 and EMH is from 7-8 then get there about 6:15, no later than 6:30 or there will be a line and it will slow you down getting to rides. Things like PP will get a line very quickly if you get delayed.

If your not interested in doing the crazed zombie dash, get there at 6:45 or 6:50 and you will be fine.
