How early ordering gift baskets from Shirley?

We are going on the 11/29 eastern and I was wondering how early you all have ordered baskets from Shirley. Is it to late? I just want to get something nice for my to kids and maybe a special basket for DH it will be our 15th WA.

Hi - we are going on the Nov 30th 4 day. I just called Shirley this morning - she is great! She is going tp take a week or two and then call me back with ideas and price. She already called me back once and she has great ideas! Love her personal touch.

In fact, she told me that a couple weeks was OK. She didn't seem interested in taking an order even 60 days out...

The reason I hestitate to take an order over 2 months away is simply due to the fact that I am always very concern about misplacing paperwork and I do not want to do anything to mess up anyone's order - that is why I ask that you wait from several weeks to a month to order - but if you want to put your order 2 months ahead that is ok honest with me - it will receive the same treatment regardless --wits hatever whats you want to do and just tell me so = it is that simple ok - just don't feel that I do not want to work with you or just do not care cause nothing could be further from the truth - I enjoy speaking with each of you ----I have had a lot on my mind the past several days - my granddaughter of 24 who just had her new brand baby had a mild heart attack and I just didn't want to say anything to anyone that called for I feel that so many are so burden with their own hurts, fears etc. - we have been concern with her health - anyhow she is seeing doctors etc and I have the faith she will just be fine - believe me, I too have those days when things just don't seem to be doing me right
anyhow thanks for everything and most of all for the thoughtfulness and please forgive me if I offended anyone -

BD - nope not yet ----just wait ok and will let you know when it is time - in fact - I do keep a rose on the counter so I can see it each time I walk by it -------so will consider that is from you ok?
Thanks everybody - this is not something I want to keep talking on ---Krysi has had a number of test since Friday and is doing I believe super good - we were just stunned at her age and having an attack - she is under the best care and then most of all in God's hands.
Will let all know how she is doing ------the baby is doing great also -cute as a button - my 4th great --does that mean I am getting older or my kids and grandkids are ----don't feel that "old" teeth: so it must be they are the only ones getting older.
Anyhow thanks for everything and am back to normal today -

I meant to add to this thread that if anyone would like to send something special to add to their baskets, you are most welcomed to do so - we are the only ones that offer this service and it is at no extra cost to add the items in - the only request I ask that it would only be a few items and just give me a call to let me know it is being done so I can look out for it - we have included everything from fancy shoes, to jewelry, to just about anything you can think of -----the customers were very pleased that they are given this option -----and as I said there is really no extra charge - just take the prices off and mail it down to me.

has its drawbacks! When I posted "she didn't seem interested in taking an order 60 days out" I didn't mean it in an offended way or in a huff. I am so sorry, Shirley if I put any more pressure on you. I think it's great that you can be so flexible. I was pleasantly surprised actually after having to reserve PSs 60 days out, etc....

I pray your granddaughter recovers totally and that her baby is healthy. May God bless you.

P.S. I'm glad someone started this thread because I'm so excited at the thought of ordering gift baskets from you that I was almost ready to call you NOW, but our cruise isn't until next summer. I will be patient and wait until then to contact you.

You know sometimes I feel like I open mouth and insert foot. Heart4Dis - I am so sorry that I misunderstood - I can't not say jow sorry I am enough- please know that I didn't mean it ok - I need to explain - I had read so much bashing lately that I was just "on edge" since I do have folks contact me so very far ahead and I am lucky I can keep my days straight -it really is ok, I just have felt overwhelmed lately and it isn't my shop for it is what keeps me "normal" and I do enjoy hearing from different people around the country -it is just that there just has been so many personal "stuff" that has zoomed into our family this year - when I answered you, I had just learned about my granddaughter Krysi - I was trying to deal with it - and what I should have done was just stick my head under the covers and stayed there til I didn't feel so vunable -For most part I am a pretty strong person and have a deep faith but guess I reacted as a "normal" person when they get vunable of fear - Krysi has been my buddy, my bestest pal during many times when I needed her - she lived with me for 3 years of her teen years and we did a lot together - in fact she is what kept me going a lot of times - I just couldn't understand a heart attack at 24, but I know they do occur in smaller children -the important part she is doing great and her son is adorable - he will be two months on the 5th - I am very blessed for her husband is a number 1 hubby and daddy -
Anyhow today is another day - looks like cool on the horizon which I am not too happy about BUT Norm and I are going to Key West next weekend - isn't that great - I want to look into a number of things that have opened up down there - anyhow I just wanted to take the time to explain so that you won't think of the wicked witch of the East

I'm one of those overly-anxious first time cruisers and I'm trying to get everything done ahead of time. When I sent Shirley an email asking about ordering a basket she responded in the sweetest way possible. She put my anxiety at ease with her sweet, down to earth words. While I still cannot wait to order my basket, I'll sit here and dream about walking into our room and seeing one of Shirley's beautiful basket.

In the meantime, THANKS Shirley for bringing your love and magic into this crazy world!

I'm glad there's no hard feelings. I was horrified to think I may have made you feel worse. Your apology is accepted but not really necessary. When I reread my post, I realize it sounded snooty. Next time, I'll be more careful or use smilies to help communicate my tone of voice!
