how early MK

How early can we get in to MK? Leaving in a couple of days and we are hoping to be able to get onto Main Street before the park opens on Friday. Is this possible?

Friday is not an early entry day for the MK, so I'm not sure if you will be allowed in the park before opening. I have read here on the DIS about being allowed onto Main Street 30 minutes before opening, but I'm not sure how that works really.

The past few times we have gotten to MK for regular opening were in last Dec & Aug. I dont know if things have changed but those times, we were let through the turnstiles about 15 minutes in advance, but only into that first little area infront of the train station. After the opening show, which lasted about 10 minutes, we were let into the park, up Main St and as far as the ropes to the lands. At opening time exactly, there was an announcement made and once it was over, the CMs dropped the ropes.

We've not been admitted to Main Street prior to the park opening on any of visits in the last year and a half.

We have been admitted through the turnstyles and into the train station area for viewing of the show like the OP said, but never admitted early unless we had PS for breakfast.

I think that practice has been discontinued, or used very seldom at best.

When do they do the little opening show on EMH days? At EMH opening or at 9am opening?

They dont do it on EE days.
