How early is too early to call on a Saturday morning?

I just got a call at 8:24. Luckily, I was awake but I think that that's a little too early to call....what do you guys think?

I don't like to call anyone until after 10:00 on the weekends. You never know, they may have a child that sleeps in. Unfortunately, not me.

Aside from my mother (she's an early bird) I wait until 11 on the weekends. I don't think I would call anyone at 8 unless it was an emergency.

I think it is "rude" if anyone calls before 10:00 am on the weekends, unless it is an emergency.

If it was my child or an emergency, I wouldn't have minded (of course Jessica would have a hard time getting/using her daddy's cell phone and that's the only phone they're using right now.) It was Roger and he just called to say hi....He did ask me if he woke me up and I told him no, but it bothered me a little bit. My parents have always told me that it's rude to call before 10 AM on weekends.

I'd say 10 myself, but I especially hate when telemarketers call on weekends before 10. That just makes you wanna go off the deep end!!!!

Family and friends calling that early doesn't bother me. A sales call or some other call would really bother me. If Will called me at 8am just to say, "Hi", I wouldn't mind at all. I love him and love to hear his voice any time of the day.

But then again, Will up at 8am EST. LOL! That's just too funny.

This is funny that this thread is here. I just got a call at 8:38 from a Brownie mom, and my dh and I were talking about how that we thought it was really nervy to call at that hour on a Saturday. I think anything before 9, or 9:30 is too early.

I've always thought anything after 9 was okay. After reading this, I think I'll change that thought to at least 10 a.m.

I would say any time after 9am is fine.

8:00 during the week. 9:00 on weekends. People wake me up by calling me too late all the time and no one ever gives it a second thought. I think any call after 9:00 pm is ridiculous unless it is an emergency or a returned call from earlier where I have asked that they call back that evening.

The reason that it bothered me is that it could have woken up my roommates very easily and they were up EXTREMELY late last night having a party (I went to sleep around midnight.)

You're mad when he doesn't call...you're mad when he disconnects his line to put in another one...you're mad when he doesn't call because he was busy being a Dad to his kids...and now you're mad because he didn't call at THE RIGHT TIME.LOL!

For family I'm okay with antytime after 8am and before 9pm. For others I prefer after 10am and before 8pm. With little ones the phone causes a big ruckus in the evening!
