I am taking my family there next Sunday and we want to get there the second it opens. I know the park opens at 9:00am, but how early can you park and wait behind the turnstiles?

If you want to get into the parks first thing I would suggest that you park your car in the parking garage by 7:30am. It will take about 15 minutes to walk to the gate. At this time it will be 7:45am .Pick a turnstile and stay there. By 8:15am the lines will begin to fill up. Usually by 8:45am the gates will open. You might be able to push back your times by 15 minutes but i would not suggest anymore.

If you have electronic tickets or buy your tickets at the gate, make sure you give yourself enough time to allow for that as well.

Unless it's a really busy day, the parking garage opens at 08:00am. Cars start to line up at 07:45am. If you drive up at this time, you'll be first to the gate. The line at the gate starts to get huge at 08:30am. By 08:45am, it goes past the ticket booths, and on busy days, they open the park 15 minutes early.

I made a web site showing what happens when you arrive early, and what happens when you don't.

Wow thanks robvia! Your website was exactly what I needed to show my family to convince them they need to get outta bed EARLY!

One question- Is there anywhere in CityWalk you can get breakfast or coffee while waiting at the gate that early in the morning (8:00am)? I was thinking I can hold the line for them, while they pass time by getting something to eat.

Yes I know about both of those, but are they open at 8:00am when everything else is closed?
