How Early for Fantasmic?

Going on Jan 2, 2007, there are 2 showing that night one at 6:30pm and one at 8:00pm. There are no extra magic hours, just wondering how early we should get in line for the 2nd show. On my last trip we did the dinner package, but decided not to do that this time.

If it is a must see, I would say very early, maybe right after the first one lets everyone in. It is going to be busy that day. Why not do the dinner package?

Go about an hour early for first or second show.

We were thinking about an hour. We may even move it to later in the week, or skip it all together(we'll be back in March).

We didn't do dinner package because the food just didn't sound appealing, I had Mama Melrose in August didn't really like it.

I think if you are in line by 7 or 7:15 you should be OK. That place is HUGE!

During our last trip, we arrived about an hour and a half before the show started. We really didn't need to be there so early. For our upcoming trip, we will arrive 15-20 minutes before the show starts. The place is huge with a ton of seating. The show is great, definitely a must see!

we get there at the last minit we sit in the back top row.you see everything and its easier to video.not only that your the first out if you sit in front or off to the left of the enterence you will be in there for 20minits on the way out.so we sit top row back right by the exit.we do it every trip if you take the bus then you miss the line ups get the bus and away you go if you got kids it makes a big diff

Just for balance.

I would never consider a better seat on a BUS to weigh higher in importance on my WDW trips than a better seat at Fantasmic!

We like to sit in the front (sometimes in the very front row) near the center.

Yes, after the show, we stand in line FOR the bus.
And usually, we stand while riding IN the bus.
Its fine with us, and a great compromise.

(Now you know who some of the "crazies" are who get there early and sit in the "water-spritz" section.)

I do too. I get there about 45 minutes ahead of time, but pick a seat as far to the top as possible. I like being up top, since I can get some great pictures & video from that high up. Another plus is just grabbing my backpack and I'm already at the exit, so less fighting the huge crowds exiting the show. I do this at the Magic Kingdom for Spectro & Wishes.

I get some pretty good video from down front AND high up.
Variety makes all the difference.
