Hello,

We're going to WDW for a week in Sept - our first trip, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. How early can you buy your tickets before the park opens? My husband is active duty military, so we'll be buying the Armed Forces Salute tickets that can only be purchased at the parks' ticket windows. Our first morning we have an 8:10 PS at Donald's. How early do we need to get to AK to have time to buy our tickets without being late for our PS? Could we go to a park ticket window the day before to buy our passes without using up a day? We don't mind paying the parking fee if it will make the next morning smoother, and the kids would probably love a monorail ride. :)

thanks,

Lyanne

You can buy them the day before and since you don't enter the parks, you won't "spend" a day. The ticket windows are outside the park.

Are you staying on site?

You would be better off buying you ticket the night before. Then take the bus to AK in the morning. They hold the cars back at the entrace booths until sometime around 8:30. Busses however, drop off their passengers much earlier.

Uh oh, sounds like I need to change our PS as we're staying off-site. The CM who took my call asked if we were on site, and I said no, so I assumed (stupid me!) she would mention if we wouldn't be able to get into the park early enough to make it. But it doesn't sound like we can if they hold cars until 8:30. :( Guess I'll be calling Dining tomorrow - thanks for the heads up! Off to redo our entire itinerary, because my heart is set on starting the week with a character breakfast.
