How Early Do I Need To Get In Line To Book Brunch on Embarkation?

We booked our cruise late, so even though we are Platinum, I haven't been able to secure Palo Brunch. It's been a while since we've had to try to book on embarkation, so hoping you all can help remind me. I know they don't start taking bookings until around 1pm, but do I need to get in line right when we get on the ship? We plan to be at the port right at opening and should be able to board right after Concierge.

Thanks,
Karin

I did the same thing and can't get Palo brunch. We are on the Fantasy so once I get on board and eat, I will go to Royal Court, which is where they do the ressies. Like you said, they don't start taking ressies until 1pm. I have never seen too long of a line even when arriving a few minutes beforehand.

For our Magic cruise in January we booked 45 days before and there were none available online.
I went to Lumiere's at 12:30 right when it opened and there were 3 or 4 people ahead of me. Not too bad at all.
We got one without any problem.

Good Luck!

Thanks! Just curious, was it listed in the Navigator as scheduled to open at 12:30 or did they open early. I've heard sometimes they start before the scheduled start time/

Yes, it was listed in the Navigator as opening at 12:30.
They may open it early and thats why it wasn't too crazy.

50% of all Palo bookings (brunch & dinner) are set aside for on-board booking.

I don't know about the Percentage held for on board booking, but our last cruise with 3 sea days we got one of the last brunch slots. Was surprised it was that full!

We arrived pretty late (after 1:30 PM because we were arriving with the resort shuttle) on our last sold out Dream cruise and have been able to secure one. You should be fine! If not, ask to be on a waiting list. Your chances are still pretty good.
