How Early Do Fastpass Machines Open

We are going to MK on an EE day and are making a bee-line for Fantasyland. We would like to send one person to get Fastpasses for Space Mountain. Do the Fastpass machines start at 8:00 a.m. or do they wait until the normal opening time to open up the Fastpass? We figure we can get most of Fantasyland done by 9:30 and then head over to Tomorrowland before the crowds get too big.

I all depends on the day of the week and the projected crowds.
When I was there in November the earliest I saw a Fastpass machine set up was at 8:20am (Buzz Lightyear) in Tomorrowland. In fact I waited until the technician got it started and luckily she gave me ten extra fastpasses.

This March we did EE at MK and headed right for Space Mtn for a no-wait ride. When we came out the FP for Sp Mtn was open so we took one. That week we also did EE at MGM and got a FP for ToT before our first ride of the day, R'nRollercoaster.
