How early can you get your GAC?/Animal Kingdom

How early can you pick up a GAC in the Animal Kingdom?

My family volunteered for the give a day get a day and we are literally getting one day at Disney as we just can't afford a vacation there right now. (next "real" trip will be when ds plays on Main St with his band in 2012)

My youngest son has benefited from the use of a GAC in the past. We have an 8:05 reservation for breakfast and the Tusker House Restaurant. We will need time to turn our vouchers into for 1 day tickets for our entrance in... we need to be there 20 minutes early for entrance in to the restaurant. Will I be able to at this time before the meal get his GAC or will I have to trek him back across the Animal Kingdom to do this after breakfast? (How early does Guest Services open for a 9 am opening for the park?)

There is a Guest Relations outside of the park that you can use before the park opens. It would be open before anyone can enter the park.

Like Sue says, just get to the park on the early side and pick up your GAC then. I have never picked one up outside of the park, but rather simply stopped at Guest Services as soon as we got into the park.

In your case, I would recommend heading to guest services after breakfast, if it's not open on the way in to breakfast. Bring you old GAC with you, as that generally speeds the process

I recall on one of our trips AK was our first park and we had breakfast reservations. We got to the gate before the park opened, our reservation was at 8:15, but we got there at 7:45. We told the CM thata was letting people in for breakfast that we needed to get a GAC and he made sure we had reservations and then let us go on in. The office was open and the best park was there was no line because the park was still closed. It only took us about 3 minutes to get in and out and off to Tusker.
