How early can you book using borrowed points?

We want to book a vacation at the Mauna Lani for August 2003. We have an April use year with 150 points. We have no 2002 points. We have all for 2003. Our stay will require that we borrow some of our 2004 points.

Do I have to wait until April 2003 to book the trip? Or can I book now and borrow the 2004 points?

All points usage is based on the date of the stay, not the date the reservation is made. You have April 2003 points available now for any stay between April 1, 2003 and March 31, 2004 and can borrow April 2004 points.
